I didn´t know about dice and snake eyes because I´m spanish so, I could never figure it out. Thanks for the explanation! (and Fräulein_Kim for asking XD)
About "I get it now" theme; When I read "Scaris, city of Frights" I didn´t realized it´s a "Paris, city of love" reference until I saw the tangled Eiffel tower in the box... silly me! :throw:

I always thought it was because his mother is Medusa (The Gorgon), and "Deuce" ... "Dusa" .... *shrug*

That's what I always thought too, since a lot of the MH characters have names relating to their parent(s).  I like that it could be a double-layered meaning though.

Same here.

I've also heard of Paris referred to as the "City of Lights," which fits the Scaris pun even better!  I think one of the reasons I fell for MH is because it caters so well to my love of silly puns.

So I totally thought it was because of his mom's name too xD  Shows how much I know!  Sad part was, hubby got the snake eyes reference long before I did.  o.o

"Deuce = snake eyes" didn't occur to me either, because I've only heard the word "deuce" used to refer to the 2s in a card deck, not for dice.

Then again, I read odd books, so I tend to know a lot of words I've never heard.  My boyfriend has to correct my pronunciation all the time!
