Although it is pretty clear both companies are trying to cash in on the Monster High phenomenon.   Nevertheless, I will be getting the zombies (dead princesses, yay!)  I won't be getting the "high school" versions of the same. 

(Unless somehow they come out and are WAAAAAy cuter than the concept art implies... doubtful)

A couple of pics have shown up in my contacts so I figured I'd share them. While I like that they went with brown for Rapunzel's hair, I am not too impressed with the line in general. Maybe they will be good body donors. I'm also disappointed that Pocahontas wasn't shown and makes me wonder if she was canceled.

They seems to have an high and too thin neck 
their limbs and body are so thin  and so straight/fixed pose... their hair seems like cheapy wig glued fast on their head..maybe that's because that's prototype pictures?
they look like sick twiggy people and they don't look articulated which are a big "no no" for me.
they have no expression or personality, maybe they will be stunner and fun in hands...hopefully?!
But right  now I'm with you I'm not tempted at all!

Oh- thanks for the picture!  Those are definitely not cute. 
Or rather, they are cute, but just kind of boring and non-special.   I'm sure they will sell though, kids love their princesses.

After seeing that webisode they posted it felt so embarassing and the end with the dancing...eurrgh I feel like I lost a few braincells and was declared braid dead for those couple of seconds. I just didn't like it.

Ah... oh. I don't like them either  Well, that's disappointing. Their faces are really bland (and actually kinda ugly?!) and the execution of their outfits is eh.  They really look like fakies of something. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think this is a fairytale line I won't be getting after all! 

Oh well, more money for the zombie princesses, which I'm totally in love with!

Is it wrong that I'd been secretly hoping mattel would do something like this with MH style bodies? This...does not even measure up. Ew. And I was interested when I first saw the title. Money is safe!

It is just their heads that are so blah. I still think they would at least be good for donor bodies now that Liv is off the market. The body seems like it has joints and not hollow blow molded plastic parts or solid rubber parts. The way these dolls are so generic, maybe they are actually meant to be guilt free donor bodies. (Nothing is worse than getting a doll to be a body donor and then falling in love with it)

Of course I'd rather have cheaply made dolls that are creative than dolls that are generic but well made but at least I can see a possible use for these.

Haha. I could have sworn at one time they'd filed a trademark similar to this, which is kinda what sparked the hope/idea because srsly, mattel could do it, but i guess they don't want to compete with themselves.
