I carefully used an exacto knife. Possibly try soaking in boiling water, sometimes that helps.

Yeh you have to cut them off. ive not found another way as there solid thru the neck

Yup - these are the exception to the "try not to use a knife rule". Be careful but you will need to use a knife to get the head off.
