Marks in plastic from packaging on G4 ponies? :(
« on: September 24, 2012, 06:33:27 PM »
My G4 ponies I've gotten in certain packages, like the brony set, have had the plastic holding them in place poking at their necks so long it's left noticable gashes...does anybody know how to get those out? Happen to anyone else? Any ideas?

It is unfortunately common for G4s that the plastic that holds the figures in place can fit them too tightly and leave dents, especially for the TRU fan favorites collection.  I've heard that soaking the dents in hot water can help to get them out though, I would try that and see if it helps your ponies.

Yeah people said in another thread that the dents go away after a while, or with boiling water rinse.

Its an ongoing discussion point around here...

As said before...moulded plastic has a memory which it will aim to return to. Leaving the ponies out and with nothing pressed against them and the dents will simply disappear. Alternatively you can speed the process along with putting the ponies in or running super warm water over them. You ll need patience for the first option and you ll need to repeat the latter several times.
