Ok its a simple one! Who is your favourite from these gorgeous girls? Just looking at the first edition rainbow set of course.
For me its Moonstone closely followed by Sunlight - I have lovely memories of these girls and when I used to have pony competitions whichever adult I had coerced into judging always seemed to pick Moonstone so she became my champion :P

Very hard decision between Parasol and Sunlight for me - but I voted for Sunlight.

STARSHINE!!!! then Skydancer, then Sunlight ;) Rainbows are my all time favourites, and I think German Starshine is just divine.

I actually like the 2nd set of rainbows better than the 1st.
But, for the 1st set, I voted for Moonstobe - I have an absolutely goregeous one who stole my heart. :)

Difficult. I'm most partial to pegasi, so it was a tough call between Starshine and Skydancer, but i chose Starshine. She was one of my prized childhood ponies that got lost when I moved. :( But I got a really pretty one off eBay for not too much, and only a teense of symbol rust to boot. ^.^
No love for Windy so far? Poor purple girl, she is really pretty... maybe it's the way she fades out that wins her no votes? :(

She's in my favourite pose and I'm partial to light blue ponies :) she's such a sweetheart.

Don't really care for any of these ponies, the second set ponies are much prettier in my opinion. But I voted for Skydancer 'cause I like bright colors and the yellow is so cheerful somehow :lol:

Voted for Parasol but she's really one of my favorite 3 from the set - Windy and Starshine are my other favorites!

I voted for Moonstone. Windy was a close second. She was the only rainbow pony I had as a child. But I wanted Moonstone because I really liked her planets symbol. I have one now that I got off eBay.

Moonstone. Windy is my second favorite! I have a thing for Unicorns and I love, love, love the Rainbow Ponies...Plus, these were childhood ponies so they have a very special place in my Heart and always will. :heart:

Gotta go with Sunlight--love her name and robin's egg blue color.
And I LOVE rainbow brushes and matching combs. Maybe even more than the ponies.

Starshine!!! All the way!!! She was the only Rainbow Pony I had as a kid, I remember mom taking me from store to store looking for the new Baby Ponies one day, but no one had them in stock yet so she let me pick out another pony so I didn't go home empty handed and Starshine was the one I picked. I couldn't have been more than 4 years old at the time, even then I loved white ponies, which is why I can't for the life of me understand why Hasbro insists on making Celestia pink! White Celestia reminds me so much of Starshine!

Sunlight for sure! Love her colours and her sweet shy-pose. Starshine is my next favorite I think, the white shows off the rainbow hair and I love that pose for pegs.

Had to pick Windy for her lovely lavender colours which mixes so well with the rainbow colours :)

I love all of these girls, especially all together. The first set of rainbow ponies is one of my favorites. Even though I voted for Parasol, I could just have easily voted for Skydancer, a childhood pony, or Moondancer, who I especially love too!

Parasol! LOVE her symbol especially! I can't seem to get a hold of her though. The only Rainbow pony I have is Skydancer. :P

I love all of the rainbow ponies<3 My absolute favorite, though, is probably Windy. She has my favorite symbol of the rainbow ponies, plus I love her color scheme (I should clarify: I have the white version of her).

Ok, weird story...
I got one of my first Pegasus ponies from a second hand market around 20 years ago, she had birds on her flank so I decided to call her SkyDancer...
Then I saw Escape From Catrina for the first time in years, and realised she was actually already called SkyDancer... Weird!
So anyway, I voted Skydancer! :redface:

Parasol. Funny because I don't like pink and usually skip buying pink ponies. There's just something about her combination of colors that make her pop, the subtle powder pink (instead of the noxious Pepto Bismol pink Hasbro is obsessed with today) and rainbow hair. Also her 'umbrellas' are sooo cute!

I chose Parasol, because she was one of my very first ponies as a kid, and still the only rainbow one I own. Unfortunately I ripped her tail out when I was little >_< I like her cute little bob hairstyle and umbrella symbol.

Now this was a hard one for me - I have cherished memories of each of them, but I had to go for Moonstone in the end, because she was the first I got, and my 4th pony ever (but only because I opened her first at Christmas!). I had to choose between Skydancer and Starshine too, Starshine came in 2nd bacause mine had 3 rows of mane which made her sooo silky.
Sorry, I get carried away with these girls they are my favourite set ever and I would just keep buying them whenever I saw them if I could!
They have some gorgeous variations too, but for me it will always be the standard girls and the memories they evoke who are the most special. Not that I'd object to Peruvian Moonstone mind you.

I picked Starshine, although to be honest I am not really that bothered by this set as a whole. It seems I actually own Parasol (I just looked, I didn't think I had her) and she is nicer in person than in the pictures, but still... hmm.

it was a hard decision for me between the two pegasuses, I simply love this pose! in the end I chose Starsine, because even though I love yellow ponies, to me this rainbow hair looks much better with a white body.

I picked Moonstone because she was my first pony ever. I had a problem choosing between her and Parasol, who was my second pony. For the last couple of months I've had Parasol on display and I just really love those glittery umbrellas. They're even more beautiful when you look at her alone. However, I had to pick Moonstone because she was my first pony (the nostalgia) and because she is a unicorn.
The pony I found unobtainable as a child was Starshine. I don't think I ever saw her in the shops, only on the box art, I thought she was gorgeous. I haven't gotten around to buying her as an adult and I don't know if I will.

After reading all these answers, I'm still sticking with Windy, but Sunlight is a close second because when I started collecting again as an adult two years ago, the first new ponies I bought were Sunlight and Sundance.
Also, I like to think of Parasol and Sunlight as the "daytime" sisters to Raindrop and Nightlight, respectively. I don't know if that's how they were designed, but it fits so well!

Windy! I picked her first at the store (and Starshine second). I think even now I would still choose her first. She is a unicorn. She is purple but not a bright girly purple. She is a little dusty colored. And I liked the wind symbol a lot.

Anyone who knows me on here knows that Windy is not only my favourite Rainbow pony, but one of my favourite G1s in general. I love rainbows, purple, and unicorns, so she is tops in my book! :heart:

I vote Windy! Mine hasn't faded, yet. But when I found her at a Goodwill, I thought she was a reproduction! Turns out she was near mint AND the original!
Did I mention she was my first Rainbow Unicorn pony? :P She's so lovely~

Parasol! I just love the shy pose, and in addition I love any rain-themed ponies.

I have always been terribly fond of Parasol even though she's pink. I usually disregard pink ponies, but she always will have a place on my shelf. Reminds me of those rainy days as a kid!

Simple? No way! ;)
I was stuck between Starshine and Parasol, both childhood ponies. Childhoods always are more special to me.
Anyway, i ended up voting for Starshine.
