Pony Corral / Trying to Choose Between Bulk Sale Options« on: February 19, 2021, 09:23:30 AM »
I need to liquidate the bulk of my collection. I am trying to determine the final way I want to do it. I am hoping a poll will help. Any additional selections are welcome. I think I have at least 500 ponies to sell, though I think it is more
One option is for a Live Sale. I have been doing these with Disney pins lately and I love it. The seller runs a live video feed and will show all ponies at a certain price level. They are organized on a grid so that the buyers can identify which pony they want. The first one to say sold #, gets the pony. Then you move on to the next price level. Generally there are some games/prizes. Then all the ponies selected by the purchaser are put together so that it can be one bulk shipping. I just don't know if this is something that people would be interested in. Let me know and I hope to be ready with my choice soon. Thank you! 3
Pony Corral / Re: Help Downsizing My Collection« on: November 11, 2020, 10:26:26 AM »I personally would sell all of the “common” ponies in a lot, “bait ponies” in a lot and then sell the rare ones separately. What would you consider to be "common" ponies? Just trying to wrap my head around how I would divide that. And thank you. 4
Pony Corral / Help Downsizing My Collection« on: November 08, 2020, 02:44:56 PM »
I don't really know how to deal with this one. So I have a considerable pony collection, and for a variety of reasons, I need to part with quite a few of them. It's got to be well over 100. I have some pretty rare ones too. I just don't have the time to list the ponies and deal with selling them. I am hoping for suggestions. Creating a lot with some of the specific ones in there feels like a waste. I had a thought about maybe getting a pony person locally who would be willing to sell them for me and split the profit? Is this reasonable? I am open to any other suggestions.
Thank you! Court 5

Pony Corral / Pricing My Collection« on: March 18, 2019, 03:04:57 PM »
Hello Everyone,
I started my huge pony collection a while ago and I have reached the point where I cannot justify having that many ponies anymore. My daughter is only mildly interested and it just feels like it is wasted on her. That being said. I have to price like 200 ponies. What is the best way to go about pricing? I know that we have the price archive, but obviously I want the prices to be current and reasonable. Any suggestions appreciated. Post Merge: March 18, 2019, 03:06:47 PM Also, I am hoping to be able to sell most of them on here as I really don't want to deal with the ebay headache if I can avoid it. I realize at some point there will be some that will end up needing it, but I think a lot of them will be gone before I get there. Thanks! 7
