Blind Bag Ponies in the US
« on: March 29, 2012, 11:30:10 AM »
My sister and I started collecting the Blind Bag Ponies which are really hard to find, found a few at only one local Walmart, going to check out Toys R Us in a day or so.

So my question is what Waves are in the US right now? I found the first wave. Does anyone know when we will get the later waves?

As far as I know, we only have wave one in the US. There is also no information if we will ever get the later waves.

I think its anyones guess at this rate! The US is, what?, nearly a year behind in getting Wave 1 in comparison to places like Germany. And then some countries like the UK have gone straight into Wave 3 having missed 1 and 2...so I think we ll find out who gets what wave and when as and when they turn up on shops!!!

*Head shake* how you torment us Hasbro....

I really hope we don't skip waves. I would love a chance to find all of them in shops...

They must spin a roulette wheel to decide which country gets which wave of blind bag ponies and when (if ever). xD

Gah the highly addictive blind bags... I for one don't mind if we only have wave 3 here in England.... I've spent $60 on the little blighters and I only have 20 of em :faint: I can't afford to spend more money! :P

I still think only Wave 1 is in the US at the moment.

Knowing Hasbro, it'll probably be a few more years before we finally see wave 2 here in the States. :P (Feel free to prove me wrong, Hasbro!)

Seriously though, when it was announced that the US was finally getting wave 1 "soon", it took a couple months before they finally started to show up in large amounts, so it'll probably be a while before wave 2 shows up. :(

I read on a blog talking about toy fair that hasbro said there would be 3 waves of blind bags released in the US this year. (But don't quote me on that, I'm not sure how accurate their info was.) So far only wave 1 is out.

ok, so we have only wave 1 right now. At least I know that I wont have to hunt down something that don't exist   I don;t mind so much about the other girl ponies since they all are kinda the same. I just really want Big Mac and the other boy ponies, they are sooooo cute :P  Thanks for the input

This Toy Fair article claims that there will be three waves of blind bags this year. They also refer to them as "clipstrips" there.

With Hasbro, it's honestly anyone's guess.

The fact that they say three waves makes me wonder if they'll skip one of the waves in the US. Because I'm sure wave 1 is counted as one of the three and I have a feeling that the pastel ones go with the wedding theme (at least from the way the packaging looks, plus the fact that there's a Cadence) which would make sense to be released this Fall with the other Wedding stuff. My guess is we'll see a new wave in the summer (probably either wave 2 or 3) then the wedding set in the fall. I hope they just release all four this year (I can wait on the glittery wave) because I still need like five wave 2 blind bags and I haven't gotten any of the wave 3 ones I want yet. When the wave with the princess ponies comes out, I'm definitely buying a full box. I love pastel colors.

The only place I could find the blind bags were in Toys R Us (and naturally, since I had none and those were the only ones there, I bought all 11 in the box and kept the box). They're really hard to find so far in the US and I think only Wave 1 is being sold here!
