I found this pony down the carboot yesterday and didn't notice just how messed up her hair was until I got her home.
I am rather reminded of 'Afro Circus' when I look at her.
Anyone else got any ponies with whacky hairdos to show off?

I have 2 of her loose I think. I don't know why they gave her super-long super-fine hair. It would be impossible for kids to keep this stuff nice.

My eldest daughter has Precious Gem and as much as I love brushing pony hair this one's drives me crazy >.<

Every few months I do my best to put it in curls for her but super-douper-long-fine-curly hair and playtime don't mix all that well.

Fantastic!  I just worked on one of my daughter's ponies that Grandma brought from a thrift store with her hair all braided and crazy. I think I spent over an hour with the conditioner and flat iron. I ended up with pretty decent improvement, until, of course, little one got a hold of her again.

*cringes* So you found a Precious Gem like that too? lol

My only advice.. brush out, wash, condition, CURL! Like the picture someone else posted, ringlet curls totally work on this girl. I gave mine a bit of a trim too, to get rid of the poofy frizzyness on the end. Either way, I love Precious Gem. Even though she looks like she's living in the 80's

Oooooh. O.o She's so pretty.
I hope when I'm done with her she comes out looking like that or something close to that. I find that G1's are a lot easier to sort out than G3's.
