When will the cutie mark crusaders actually get their cutie mark?

For example Sweetie Belle Can sing really really well, so maybe her symbol would be a singing bell?

Seconded.  They should be allowed "pony-berty", just like many of their classmates.

I think if they do get them in the course of the series, they would all get them at the same time but not know the others also got theirs. Then they would go through the episode trying to hide their cutie marks from the others because they are afraid they would no longer be able to be part of the CMC.

Keep in mind that it can be very dangerous, from a marketing point of view, for a show to change their character designs. They have to be careful of backlash from their viewers. A lot of time, people don't really like or want the characters to change.

When Nickalodeon and Mattel announced that Dora the Explorer would 'grow up' and have an older version toy line, there was a major backlash in the community. People were up in arms saying she was too 'girly' now that she was wearing a dress instead of shorts, and that her new look was ruining her point and her message to young children.

Of course, cutie marks aren't quite that drastic a change, lol. I'm just pointing out there is a good reason cartoon shows rarely do character design changes, no matter how many years have actually passed since the introduction of the show.

I would like them to gain their cutie marks too....can't help but wonder if Apple Bloom will have something apple related like the rest of her family. I just don't see it happening.

I really don't know if they will get their cutie marks. I hope they will get them but i don't really think they will.

On the other hand , we now have had some episodes about the CMC that weren't about them trying to get their cutie marks. So there is no real need for them to stay blank flanks. They can still do plenty of other things togheter.

I also don't think they will get their G3 cutie marks. Scootaloo would get a butterfly cutie mark and we already have Fluttershy.

I hope that they'd be given their cutie mark before the time comes for Hasbro to reboot the series (which I believe it will happen, but not in another 6 or so years).

I don't think a butterfly would fit G4 Scootaloo's personality too well either. She's definitely not as gentle as a butterfly.
