okay so this is my first official thread on here, so a thousand apologies if it shouldn't be posted here or kept in the movie discussion thread! feel free to move or delete at your leisure, mods. as the title promises, i'm not going to be posting ANY spoilers, and this doesn't even have anything to do with the plot of the movie! i'm wondering about these adorable my little pony concessions, and where to find them (http://www.cinemascenemarketing.com/concessions?lightbox=dataItem-j34ym63u1).
i've found precious little about where to actually get these, as i've seen many people saying that their theaters don't have them, despite so many of us being from all over the US! i myself live in southern california, and i can't find ANY information on these, or even anyone who knows what i'm talking about! there's a little more information on them here (https://www.mlpmerch.com/2017/08/mlp-movie-cinema-promotions-figures.html) (specifically about their quality; good to know!), but they don't really seem to give any information on where to find them such as participating theatres, or anything! i see some people in the comments say that they're subject to the theatre choosing to order them or not, but a boy can hope, right? <3
so does anyone have any information on these? i just really really really don't want to pay inflated 'collector' prices for them! :sad:

I'll be stalking this thread. The last time I wanted to buy concession stand movie merch I found out it was US only, even though it had been advertised with the movie in Australia. Here's hoping I don't have to go to eBay, but I also have to wait an extra month to see the movie. :P

I think you just have to go to a theater and pray they have them for sale. :(
I am gonna try to go to two theaters tomorrow and see if they have them, but if they dont, i might go the ebay route. Which is a bummer, since i only want Twilight and Rarity.

My mall has an open theater. You can walk through and buy snacks at the snack bar without buying a ticket to the movie. I wonder if they have these?

I went to AMC when I saw the movie, and they did not have them, I asked and they said they didn't have any promotions for it, but every theater is different so some may, some might not. :/ It was really disappointing but oh well. I hope you can find them! If I see any info about them I will let you know :)

For anyone in Canada with Cineplex, they have the small cup and the the pony figures available. They have the box for the small popcorn but it's different than the one in the first link posted. Ask for the My Little Pony mini combo.

The combo is $9 so you'll have to pay $40 to get all four figures.

My AMC did not have em. 😢. Movie was awesome though! Would have been 20% cooler with the MLP popcorn box and cup amd pony though..

I got the popcorn bucket and cup when I went to see IT a few weeks ago (at a Cinemark), so I didn't buy another combo last night when I saw the movie (also a Cinemark). I asked about the figures though, and they had no idea what I was talking about. :huh:

The Regal I went to didn't have anything either. I am bummed out.

I got mine at Cinemark today. I have no clue about any other theatres, i wasnt even sure this cinemark would have them, as they were not advertised well. there was just a little thing in the corner of the marquee menu at concessions saying "mini mlp movie combo" or smth. i asked for a medium popcorn and asked if i could just get a cup, and she said it was okay and even let me pick the topper! im so relieved i got the souvenirs, since..thats one of the main reasons i didn't just wait to pirate the movie :' )

The cinemark in mankato, mn, has buckets and cups, but no toppers. I laughed at the concession guy when my small drink and popcorn with no refills was $7.50, but i bought it anyway! I

one of my local theaters usually has those kinds of toppers, but i'm not sure if they'd get them for MLP ... they had them for Spiderman:Homecoming and StarWars ... sadly going to be awhile before i can get there to check though :(
if you're asking for 'figures' they may be confused as they are toppers that fit into a depression on a drink lid ... i know one theater has an AMAZING cup shaped like Pinkie Pie that I am dying for! SQUEE!

I find it so odd that despite theaters having the MLP combo, barely any of them seem to have the figures. I'm surprised that I am having a hard time finding any listing of them on eBay. That's just so...odd to me?
I plan on going to see the movie again tomorrow, so maybe my nearest theater will have them this time? I guess one can hope, haha.

That Pinkie Pie is cute. :) I'll try to walk through the open theater at the mall and find out if they are doing the special movie cups, buckets and toppers and report back.

They don't. Seems to just be Cinemark that got them (for the US at least).

I was to AMC & Marcus theaters this weekend, but unfortunately neither of them had any of the Cinemark merch. I don't have any Cinemark theaters near me so I guess I'm out of luck. Those toppers look really cute too, oh well.

My local independent theatre didn't get them. We rarely do get promos the one time I know we did was for Whip it because they invited my roller derby team to come skate around the admission area.

Regal did not have anything except those certificates for kids that were seeing it as their first movie. Boooo

Unfortunately there are no Cinemark cinemas within an hour of me! It's mostly local theater chains in my area, and then AMC theaters in the city.

Hmm... there's only AMC theatres in my town but from an online check, there is a Cinnemark about an hour away but they aren't even playing the MLP Movie! :drunk:

my cinemark did not have the buckets or large size cups. they only had the small cups with the toppers. popcorn came in this tiny kid sized cardboard folded box.

my cup looks exactly like the one in the first link, and so does my rarity topper thing.the little cardboard boxes looked different though. i got them at cinemark.

I dont't have a Cinemark near me and none of the other theaters have them.

If I had extra money I’d buy some cups and toppers from you since I won’t be able to see the movie in theaters and get the special items from the concession stand.

The set I got from cinemark is different from the first link and definitely no topper.

Looks like there's a Cinemark about 45 minutes away from me, it looks like it may possibly be the only one in this state :P I may head out there next week to see if they have any of the merchandise, I'd really rather get it from a theater than online! It's a much more fun memory to have!

I checked Premiere Cinemas today and there were no special MLP cups, toppers or popcorn buckets. :(

My Cineplex theatre has the toppers and MLP movie cups! The popcorn came in a cardboard box. I'm so impressed by the quality of the toppers.
I snagged Rarity and Twilight - anyone have pics of Pinkie Pie & Rainbow Dash?

I called ahead to see if my Cinemark had any of the promotional items and the lady I spoke to said they had 1 Twilight and 1 Rainbow Dash left. I rushed over there only to find out they were talking about Ty beanie babies and not the toppers, I was so dissapointed :( I still saw the movie again but I think that was my last chance of getting these guys in an actual theater

Saw the movie on Sunday, but we don't have any concession souvenirs at all. None. Nada. Nix. Just the movie house brand on everything. Pity, but I really enjoyed the movie and that helped.

I've only seen one person on eBay selling them since the movie came out, but they're "bundled" with the kids/adults cups. And after checking just now, one other people was selling them (again with cups), but they're from Hungary.
It's still so weird, though! I'm guessing not a lot of theaters in the US ordered them in the first place,or a really small amount were made? Unless some people ares selling them under a different "word combination".

I found a lot of all 4 toppers with cups on EBay. I ended up going for it. A little more than I was hoping to spend on them if I found them in person. But, they are so cute it's still worth it.

So the movie was out today at my local cinema - aaaaand - ZILCH merch :enraged: oh well, my kid enjoyed the movie + this weeks comic (UK) has a figurine of Tempest Shadow as a freebie... might pop out + buy one later (she looks so feline with those eyes!)

I'm currently waiting on a set to come in the mail, there's a seller by the name of starforcecollectibles selling the set for $30 (I'd post a link, but if I remember correctly, direct ebay links aren't allowed). I'll share pics when I get them..

You can buy them separately for about $3 each, I ended up getting the full set this way (you have to pay for a drink only), strangely it seems Canada has the easier time stocking them this time; the weird thing is the cinema I bought them at not only had them in stock a week before, but also didn't get the movie (only the branch at the other end of town did)
I could check tomorrow if they have any extras now (perhaps trade for some of the walmart exclusives? The only one to show up so far has been the airship)

So I walk into Tesco (UK) this morning... and hear Sia singing the Rainbow song.
OMG there was a huge MLP Movie cardboard cutout, guys in purple t-shirts getting kids to do pony-themes crafts or have a photo against the pretty cardboard display (I was too shy to take a pic on my phone)...
one of the guys approached me but I explained I had already seen it... so he gave me a buy-1-get-1-free voucher to pass on to anyone else who wanted to see the movie!
I asked if there was any other UK merch (mentioning the US sippy-cups etc) but he said not that he was aware of :| ah well... I suppose it's *something* (I would have loved to have taken the display board, gah why did I not foto it? >_< )

I picked up a few sets yesterday so if anyone is interested you can PM me and I can ship them wherever. Have any of you seen pictures of them and what they look like? If I get more orders than what I have my cinema still has some left, but it would have to be quick...the fellow at the concession said they're going to be pulling them soon!

That sounds awesome! There are more chances of aliens landing than any MLP promo in our local Tescos. We don't even have a cinema nearby!
