I think the mane might be a little different than the one SoSilver found before?

This raises my hopes that we'll get more crystal ponies. I wonder if she's part of a new (summer-related?) line.

That would be awesome! It would bring some diversity and a great opportunity  to roll in new ponies! I can imagine singles similar to that prototype Pinkie that come with accessories like a beach ball, towel,  or maybe even a pool playset! Knowing hasbro however that must not be the case and the only way you can get her is some expensive set with a bunch of repeats..

Why can't they put a palmtree on her flank? Or a tropical fish?

  WOW she looks awesome   so we have seen Twilight and Pinkie ....that would be awesome to see more on this design

Ofcourse  , they are making her famous is a marketing strategy ,you can't blame them
she is kinda like their "Paris Hilton"  they want her to have  a name, she then can sell anything later, I think she already does
same with RD and PTS !:)   , all these license products with her face on !we just have to accept it .

What are the quantities listed of this tropical Pinkie? Unless there are a lot my guess is that she's a prototype that will never be released. Just like with prototype Minty where a few more showed up on TaoBao a year or two after her first appearance. If the crystal eye phase has already passed, it's not likely that they'd bring it back in a future wave.

I wonder though. I'm waiting to see what pony is actually coming with that rainbow castle. It looks like it might be the translucent Princess Twilight that is a similar style to this Pinkie. It's really hard to tell by the promo pic though. Hurry up toy fair!
