Halloween swap pony for BlackCurtains

BlackCurtains got her swap pony yesterday so I can post it!

I had a hard time deciding what to do because I tend towards pretty, elegant designs rather than dark/horror so I tried to go something of a witch doctor/shaman route.  Not sure how well I succeeded but that was my inspiration!   

The pony's tail is Cosclay over Apoxie Sculpt for strength in the structure, but then the cosclay makes the end of the tail bendy so that it won't break.  The skull helmet is also cosclay - no more broken horns!

The pony has an airbrushed FBR and then the tail got a couple of coats of FolkArt Flash Iridescent green/violet top coat to try to mimic the natural iridescence of a rainbow boa.

The pony was rerooted in spruce green/orange mini braids (yikes that was a challenge!) and got finishing touches of a dyed black cheesecloth robe, a belt of mother of pearl branches and tiger eye beads and a poof of black marabou feathers.

I could never decided while I was making the pony if it was a female or male so I've left that decision and the name up to BC!

Eeeeeee! I love him so much

The iridescence is really neat. I love the hair! Sorry you had a hard time with it, but it looks awesome. Everything about him is great.

Big WOW!  He is incredibly gorgeous!

I didn't see the picture of the pony right away and the fact that he has the lower body of a snake, so I was really surprised!  I expected to see the pony's hind legs, the symbol and the tail.
I love that skull and its eyes! So cute and great! The bone belt is great too!
To me, he looks like a witch doctor or a shaman...so you have succeeded in doing what you planned.

Wow, incredible!  The sculpting, the EYES, the iridescence, the belt...it all looks great together and so well-made!

I've never tried cosclay, now I'm tempted to try it.
