Over the weekend my husband and I ran in the Ragnar Napa relay race! It's a 36-hour, 200-mile relay from San Francisco to Calistoga. You have a 12-person team, which is split into 2 van with 6 people in each. Each person runs 3 legs of the race. It was tiring, but loads of fun! There are other Ragnars in other parts of the country. Has anyone else done one? Our team name was Power Ragnars. We also decorated our vans - because every other team has giant white vans as well, it makes it easy to pick yours out from the crowd. One team there was called My Little Ponies! I tagged their van with a pony pic. This is me bragging about my lovely daughters.  I teach after-school art classes to kids and teens, and a great contest for them to enter is our local Audubon Society's Wildlife poster contest Much to my happiness, my 6-year-old won first place for the 1st grade art studio category! So proud of her. I was a bit bummed that my other students didn't place (they all had fabulous entries, if I do say so myself, lol), but I am pleased for my little Norah! And on a fun sidenote, I was in first grade when I won first place in an art contest. I think it's cool we can share that! Her teacher is quite impressed how well she is doing, so we got her her own a snare over the weekend: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd as a surprise for me, my husband also got me a bodhran when he bought the snare: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI've always wanted to learn how to play it, and Ava's teacher also knows how to play, so she's going to give me some lessons too! Last week I put the Cartwheel app for Target on my iPhone, and right now you can save an extra 10% on MLP! I think it expires on August 3, so don't delay! (That is if there are ponies you want to buy).

Today she showed me her first ever pony one (and I admit, I had no idea she had that in the works!). But it was too cute, so I had to share it with you all.

Today while at Target, my girls found a new pony shirt! It's sizes 12M to 5T, so it's for the littles, but it's a cute one! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI got it for my 4-year-old, since my 8-year-old and 6-year-old already have pony shirts. And it's $9.
