The last polls are IN!

We have BEADS and ANIMAL COMPANION

For beads, it doesn't have to be actual beads. It can be any kind of crafty doo-dad; sequins, buttons, mermaid pearls (though I suppose those are a type of bead). Any small decorative item.

Animal companion includes birds, fish and insects. This has to be a separate thing from your pony. You need to make it yourself, but how you go about that is up to you. You can make it from paper, clay, resin (though I ask if you use resin to not use an animal mold - like don't make a bee from a bee mold but you can make a bee from teardrop and round molds). You can even make it with beads and you've got two things covered

Ahh good ones! I'm so excited to see how everyone's designs will turn out!

I kind of have an idea for beads but I'm not sure if it will work. I need to see what I have at hand. And animal companion goes well together with my design, actually. I'm looking forward to a creative weekend!

On Monday, I was finally able to get my bait. The trip took a total of 200km (to the baitpony and back home). Now I can start planning what I need for the pony and where to start.

I got the rehairing done today! The pony herself is now done and I love how she turned out! Now it’s time to work on the animal friend and make her a necklace to incorporate the required material. The animal friend may need some explaining….the obvious choice is unfortunately a little morbid given the food I went with

Animal companion is seriously difficult especially if it has to be done sculpted from scratch. Maybe my companion will not be an animal... or not self-made but I'll see if I find some inspiration in the next 2 weeks in Japan... Besides that - the concept is done and I will start after my return in 2 weeks.

You don't necessarily have to sculpt it. You can make it out of paper like origami or just a pop-up drawing or something.

I'm still going to make a resin bushwoolie to go along with mine but that won't be the official animal since it is from a mold.  I made the mold using the toys so I don't think it fits the rules of this challenge.  I need to decide what color to make it...or maybe I'll just make a bunch and pick one that goes with whatever pony I create.  I'll probably make my animal out of beads.

I've just designed and sketched the pony on paper.  I think I have a theme selected. 

Regarding the body colors (of which there are three: blue, purple and orange), I would like to ask and make sure that I can use one, for example, in the symbol? For example, if I make a tangerine as a symbol, I can paint it with one of the given body colors, i.e. in this case, of course, orange? Did I understand correctly?

Today I bought Fimo brand modeling clay for the first time in my life. Let's see what I can come up with. I also bought some other supplies. 
Now I have everything I need, so all that's left is to start making the pony.
