I was wondering if "dark points" requires explanation (I know it's one of my suggestions). I.e. dark legs and muzzle. We can also change it to just dark legs if that's simpler? Should a darker shade of the body colour be used, or is a different shade allowed, like black or dark brown?

You know what, I got to thinking I could probably do metal if that is voted on! I have some picture wire and weird stray screws laying around I could probably incorporate into a custom, I just need to be creative with it lol!

Griffin I think for the dark points idea we could allow a different shade! It sounds like we may be voting on multiple colors for the markings anyway, so maybe the secondary color could be the different shade if desired? Hmm that might be one that is open to interpretation too, maybe you could do a darker shade of the body if desired or go for the whole different shade depending on what looks best with your pony!

Hmm. Dark points could be a darker shade of the body colors chosen. I think that makes it more challenging. Like the paint and socks options would normally be white, but using a lighter shade would work too. Different shades and hues of the color chosen are allowed. It's meant to be very broad.

ETA: I included a description to dark points and to paint and socks since those are normally white, but if white isn't a color chosen then you can't use it! So it's the same, a darker shade for points and lighters shades for paint and socks.

Honestly I'd ignore the material requirements and just make something based on the theme. Even if it doesn't count then as being part of the challenge. I don't really make accessories for my customs nor do I want to incorporate materials, as I tend to enjoy ponies more as toys than display pieces, if that makes sense.

Oh, absolutely. You can pick and choose what you want to work with. The point is to challenge yourself, so if that only means the theme to you, then that's fine. The only thing that leaves out is the chance for a prize.

I think you pretty much covered it all. Only the "Required material" is a category that may give me headaches but hey it's more an inspiration to not only think outside but also underside of the box. I'm interested as how the polls give you some things to include for sure and what everybody will make from it.
