8) Now, I may be off-base with this one, but depending on how carefully she takes care of her toys, I would recommend a sea pony, flutter pony, or winger pony. A winger pony, IMO, would be ideal, because there's just something so magical about a pony with butterfly/fairy wings!! (I think Little Flitter is generally the cheapest!) But if you think she might completely thrash the pony (she's only 2!), then a flutter pony (sans wings) or a sea pony might hold up to childhood abuses better. (Sea Winkle is one of the most common sea ponies imo, and a good flutter pony would be Rosedust maybe?) Just a cool, unusual-shaped pony to help round out her collection!
I hope that helps! It's just my opinion of course, haha, but hopefully this will help inspire you! Best of luck!
Thank you so much! Honestly my daughter is amazing with her toys---well--as amazing as a 2 year old can be. We joke around saying she has toddler OCD. She loves playing with them---but god forbid if one of her toys go missing we don't hear the end of it. She itemized them into "sets" I notice. So right now she has two ponies and if she only has one---she frantically looks for the other because she knows she has two. The reason I wasn't going the G3 route is not so much of the magnet issue, but more because she started watching the old cartoon that I have on DVD--so I figured these ponies would be more familiar to her.

I used to collect G1 ponies about 8 years ago or so, but I sold off all of my collection--I kept two. Satin n' Lace and Clipper. My 2 year old daughter discovered them and loved playing with "ponies"--she also found my old episodes on DVD.
I am looking to buy a few of G1's off of ebay for her--not many--maybe 6-8. I am looking for probably one or two from each set (so soft, twinkle eyed, newborn, sea ponies) However because she is 2, and really doesn't care--I am looking for the most inexpensive one in the group.
Any suggestions on which classic ponies would be fun to start with. If you had only 6-8 ponies to give to a toddler/young child--which one would they be?

My brother was liked that. I remember one incident where he would eat marina sauce just fine--but would refuse to eat it if someone called it "tomato sauce." He order chicken fingers in a restaurant with a side of marina sauce, and when the waitress brought it to him---she said "tomato sauce." He wouldn't touch his dinner that night. I think he hated anything with the word "tomato" in it because he watched "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" way too many times.

I am (sort of!) new here. My last PM was in 2008!
So I figured I would reintroduce myself. I am from NJ and loved MLP's as a kid---and actually had a fairly nice collection, however I started to lose interest and ending up selling all of them. However, I have been making frequent trips down the toy aisle again--only this time for my baby daughter! Although she is only 9 months old, and won't be interested in them for a long time--but I can dream!
