Happy Wednesday! This week we're focusing on ponies with geometric symbols/marks.

Do you have her? What do you think of her? Share some more pics!
I have her. She's a victim sidewalk scraping. Her face and eyes were all scratched up and she had no hair. Needless to say I've done what I could for her.

Ahhh, the RNB Ponies always bother me. Their colours and symbols are just so obnoxiously loud, everything clashes. They're one of my least favourite sets. The ones I have now were bonuses from lots, and I'm not in a rush to collect the rest. Eventually I will, just so I can say I have them all. But I'm not feeling that glam rock vibe, sorry girls.
-
Great colors! But I'm not fond of this set.
-
She's not my favorite from this set but I would like to have her.
-
I have her in the blue-haired variation, although I like the purple-haired one equally well. Didn't someone once find a half-and-half version? It's a pity that Hasbro didn't do (purposefully) non-matching manes and tails in G1, because the Rockin' Beats would have rocked it. If you're gonna clash, might as well take it to 11!

Pardon the bad picture. I've got one! She's got some issues, but I love the clashy ponies. They really get me in a summer mood.

You can't really half-and-half Pretty Beat since the body colours are different, so I'd say it was more like a rooting accident if one was found ;)
I have both versions of this pony. This was the only set as a kid I had complete because I had to have the whole band and they were SUPER common in stores for a long time in my area. I think they were on shelves for about 3 years, the last year being German carded ones on discount. So wish I had bought them, but not old enough to make that kind of savvy future collector adult decision then :/ They were only £1.99...Sigh.
But all of mine came on UK English cards because I have the cards for all of them still.
Pretty Beat was the final member of the set that I bought.
In any case, my childhood pony (with her original guitar):

And her cousin from overseas :)
I like my childhood one better of the two. The colour combination works better for me with that dark purple hair shade.

I'll pass, that pose is always a no-no for me. :/

Aha, found the old post about mix-n-match Pretty Beat. I knew i wasn't crazy! (http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,368469.0.html)
Hopefully billietallent will drop by and share her extra-pretty Pretty Beat again. ^.^

Love her colours, have the rest of the band - but dislike the pose so not going looking for her.

I posted on that thread. I am starting to worry about my memory. ..
I still think it isn't quite a half and half but a truly gorgeous pony. The colours altogether are stunning.

Quite possibly my least favorite G1. Hate the pose, hate her eyeshadow and though I've greatly warmed up to pink since discovering ponies I still dislike her overall color combo... it's mostly the eyeshadow though.

Aw poor Rockin Beats getting all the hate! I thought they were quite a sought after set. Maybe it’s just me!
I am a huge fan of this set. They are unashamedly everything that was wrong and tacky about the 80’s and I love them. Their colour combos, hair (hello, crimping!) and symbols are unique. I also had the whole set as a kid. They must have been sold in stores well after their release date as I remember buying one aged 5/6 and I was born in 89.
Come on we need more love for these girls :cheer: (Also Pretty Beat used to remind me of Tina Turner for some reason?!).

I love them too! They are unashamedly eighties (which is ironic given that they came out in the nineties xD)
I am pretty sure their release year in the US is around 1990-1 and in the UK it's officially 1992, but they were still in stores here in 1994...;)

Never had and don't want.

I have a purple-haired one. She's had a haircut and has the most amazing mohawk.

I don't really care for this pony, she isn't on my list.

I want all the clashy ponies.
