Looking for Advice/Commission Someone on Repros
« on: January 28, 2012, 10:12:15 PM »
Hello!

I was wondering if someone has rehaired any of the Repro G1s successfully?

They seem to be a really hard plastic so I was curious to see what your methods were.   :lookround:

Is it better to make extra holes or make the existing ones fatter? I am looking for really, really, super thick hair.

Thanks for any help!

I am looking for ideas and someone who can customise one of these ladies in a professional way.

 :lovey:

Never tried myself, but I guess heating up the pony a bit and widening the plugs with a thick needle before you put in the hair would do the trick. Make sure to have extra rehairing-needles in case they brake more easily in the hard plastic.

Good luck! ^^

I haven't tried to either, but Puuush's advice seems quite good.  If heating wasn't an option, you could have a push pin handy to widen each hole as you reroot.

There's always the options of doing the floss and needle method [I switched to this after the fourth rehairing needle I broke lol], but if you are looking to get the hair super thick, you may STILL have to widen the holes like talked about above.
