Pony Corral / I need some advice on cleaning a decorating pony.
« on: September 12, 2012, 11:06:47 AM »
I bought this star Catcher decorating pony today: http://strawberryreef.com/Index/Name/starcatcherDecorating.html
I would like to make her all pretty and new looking again.
I was wondering if it is okay to treat her like a regular pony to clean. Or do I need to take special care in her cleaning?

Welcome!  If you like customizing, check out the Bait Reference Guide:  http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Bait

Oh thank you very much! That is very helpful. I was sorting my ponies today seeing which I could restore.

That is funny! This would make a cute bumper sticker! Just the other day I was driving my mother around and we were talking about the same thing. It is like one small movement of the finger to flick the turn signal on is too much for some people.

I grow lavender for various things, so I love the lavender field pony! Very pretty.
They both are adorable.  Great job!

Pony Corral / Re: What\'s the latest pony or MLP item you bought?

$5 at CVS? That's a great deal! Here in Cali in my general area, the playful Ponies at CVS/Rite Aid, etc are going for $8.  >_<

Awesome! I am a bit new to the G4 ponies. This is the first pony I have gotten since I was a kid.
It seems like the ponies have gotten smaller and the price bigger. It was one of two left on the shelf, so maybe it was a sale. I hope that is the normal price around here on the east coast!
Now I am wanting to go get the last one. It was called Plumsweet.
I had to go to a few stores before I found any MLP, I was a bit surprised they were hard to find.

Oh and congrats on your find... or should I say your boyfriend's find!?
That is very sweet thing to do.

I just bought a Rainbow Dash. She has a pet squirrel that rides in a wagon.
I got her at CVS for $5. I dont know if that is a good deal??
I am fighting the urge to rip her box open at the moment. But, she will be my first ever pony left in a box! LOL

Thank you for the welcomes!

I went out today and bought my first G4 pony - I think. I am amazed at how small they are. I can not decide if I want to take her out of the box. Must... have... self... control...
It is a Rainbow Dash pony with a wagon, comb and a squirrel. So cute. But, wow have they changed!

Hello! I am WildBlue (aka Lisa). I have been collecting ponies ever since I can remember. I am an 80s baby and grew up with My Little Pony. I can tell which are my first ponies by how chewed up they are. Apparently ponies are appealing to a teething toddler - though I was known to chew on everything! Sometimes I wonder how many ears I have swallowed....
I was looking through some boxes the other day and found my ponies. I figure it is finally time to customize some ponies. I have always wanted to try it but I have not wanted to change the way they look from my childhood. I began my first customization a few days ago and it is going very well. I am not much of an artist but the way I see it is if I want to do something, it will be done. So far I have dyed my pony and painted white in her eyes. She was a Birthflower Pony. Now she is a blue-green-black color.
I really enjoy all the ponies.  My favorites are ones with space/stars themes - I am an amateur astronomer and love fiddling with my telescopes and gazing into space. Another of my favorites are the Petite Ponies. I called them 'stamp ponies' when I was little. I have probably seen My Little Pony: The Movie about a million times - at least enough times for the VHS tape to fall apart..... I did not watch much television so that was one of the few movies my parents bought for me. I probably have 50 ponies or so and a bunch of accessories - I have not counted lately. I do not know too much about the newer ponies. They are cute though.
Well, I hope to get to know you all better. This seems like a cool place for pony people.
