how do u become a mod?

i guess you need to be on the arena for a longer time, have a higher number of post counts and then, i guess you need to apply for it when the arena opens applications for new mods. (??)
i hope the mods themselfes can help you out better. why do you want to be a mod so fast?

I also think it would be cool to be a mod. But then again, I feel it's a lot of responsibility to shoulder. And I'd hate to have to be firm with some of the members when things get out of hand.

If you want to be a mod, don't ask to be a mod. They will come to you if they feel they can utilize you on the team or open up applications and go from there. That is how modship works at the various forums where I am a member.

I heard it's a one on one fight to the death with Loa.  If you win, you're a mod. 

Loa can't die, so it works out.

Arena modship could come with a private army of henchmen and a Batmobile and I wouldn't even be tempted; the mods here are a special kind of champion!  I'd go postal after about three days max...

Glad you're enjoying yourself here so much, Billi!  We open up applications for new moderators every once in a while, so just keep your eyes open for those.  Usually, we prefer to take members who have been here for around a yearish (a little less is ok, I was a member for about 10 months when I applied and became a mod right before my first Arenaversary) and who are regularly active.  Just stick around, maybe you'll get there some day. 

It's not as scary as everyone imagines, but it is a lot of work and can be stressful at times.  But we all love it!

I'm sure it can be very busy, especially behind the scenes. I'm dealing with that sort of stuff at a rather large video game related forum and I've been a mod for almost a year.

I've been modding on another site for 7.5 yrs now.  Fun, but has it's crazy times.  Being a bit loony helps a lot.  Loa can't die?  So true!  The place might self destruct!

It's kind of a blur as it was so many years ago. I think I was tackled and kidnapped and suffered Stockholm syndrome as I take care of the repetitious gatekeeping and deciding who gets in and who doesn't over and over again day after day for multiple amounts of years. Kiwi has threatened me to never leave because she certainly doesn't want to do it.

Before they catch me making this post, and take me to the back of the room for another one of their "sessions" could someone please tell my parents that I love them and still remember them ....
