What are your dolly (and other collections) buying/spending habits?

It depends!  For example, when I see a Monster High doll that I want in a store, I'll always buy it if I have the money... if it's online I usually wait until I KNOW I can afford it, though.

Ponies I buy up whenever I'm feeling like adding to my collections P: because they're cheap

BJD's and other expensive things I carefully plan and budget for, and often limit myself to buying them only for special occasions (for example, my birthday, or as a reward for selling out at a convention).

Often I'll limit myself to a certain number of dolls and at least TRY to adhere to it.  For example, I'm not going to buy any more MH until I sell one of the dolls I'm not attached to.

For things like MH and ponies I buy here and there. If it's bigger purchase like a Blythe I save up. Except the custom I stalked on flickr that I would never have the chance to buy again.
