Wierd censor

I don't know what's going on, but I'm afraid to edit my trade or sales thread because the last time words were randomly being changed (April Fool's a few years ago, I think) I made the mistake of marking something as being on hold and it made all the changes permanent (like it didn't automatically change back once it was over) until I went through and manually re-typed everything. How long is this supposed to last?

Just leave the word typed correctly and it will look 100% fine when the filter is removed (which will be in a short while - less than a day).

EDIT: A small warning - using the edit function may actually turn the original filtered word into the code its been changed into. (If that makes sense.) Just an FYI. Fret not, just temporary.

When I clicked on the edit button, it didn't show the words as I typed them, though. It just had the word "censor" where the words I typed were. I guess I'll just leave it alone for now.

So what's the reason for this anyway? Did I miss something? When I first saw it all over my inbox, my first thought was that I did something wrong, then my second thought was April Fool's, but it's not April, so I'm kind of confused about what's going on.
