Funny story; a whole bunch of them were actually rescued from a country rubbish tip by one of my uncles when I was really little. My childhood Sweet Pocket came in the same lot and has a scorch mark on her chest that looks like cancer - they were that close to being devoured by flames!

Hey guys, I'm wondering if I could get some help!

Ever since I joined this forum, I've been trying to figure out what my childhood pony was. I remember she was larger than normal ponies (I called her Mama Pony), either purple or pink, and flocked. I suspected she was a Cabbage Patch pony because there's something about the dimples in their back legs that feel distantly familiar to me. But with this limited information, I was't able to figure out who she was for the longest time...

But I just stumbled upon a random link from another thread, and I am 100% sure there's a picture of the same Mama Pony I had!! http://www.geocities.ws/churchofmimic/fakie.html She's the second to the last, and I am positive that is her. The colors are perfect, she's flocked, and she's a CP pony (or CP fakie) like I suspected. I know CP ponies sometimes are larger, so I am guessing she's big. I'm so happy to find this picture, I've been searching for three years for some kind of hard evidence that this girl in my head really existed :D

But does anyone have any extra info on her, or know how I can track her down? Maybe she even came with two other ponies? (I also had two smaller, normal sized ponies at the exact same time, maybe they were a set?) The blurb on that site doesn't give me much to go off of. I think she's been my ultimate grail ever since I started collecting.

She's a fakie of the Magic Meadow ponies, and likely one of the first to exist. I don't really have much info on these other than that I collect them- I just love how they have little hearts on their hooves!

Wanted to show off my newest treasures. :D

So last month I sort of accidentally bought a lot of fakies from a spanish website while trying to navigate it using a translator... had a panic attack afterwards  ^^; but it all worked out in the end.  ^.^

Here they are! I've been too paranoid to try cleaning them... my sister and I have dubbed them "Munchkin Ponies" after my mom compared their stubby little legs to munchkin kittens. XD

What's interesting to me is I've now seen three different kinds of these ponies... all with different eye styles, and slightly different molds?

Mine all have faded hearts(?) for symbols... then there's ones with clubs and I have no idea for the last ones in the bucket. I would be so tempted to buy them, but without shipping they'd be around $30... I was trying to determine shipping prices for my last four when I accidentally bought them.  :wacko:
If anyone ever gets a hold of that whole bucket though, I'd love to purchase one of each color... looks like it comes with at least four of each? o.o

It's like they stuck G1 heads onto the chubby light-ups from G4. I love it!

There are too many pages of this thread to go through so sorry if I'm recycling old news, but if anyone wants REALLY cheap fakies, they have a ton at the Dollar Tree. They have G3.5 heads and almost G4 bodies, and are really light. They come with crowns and brushes too! :happy:
