Breyer ultimate guide
« on: June 24, 2012, 07:00:18 AM »
Hi everyone,

Breyers are starting to grow on me, little by little and the more I know about them, the more I want to know!

I as wondering if there was a website like strawberry reef but for Breyers? One website for all the past poses and molds, but also listing the upcoming ones?

Thanks a lot :)

This will be my first guy:

Perhaps this would be of some help not sure.  Its very difficult to find information on the 60's and 70's horses, but I know they have a series of books dedicated to collecting which might cover the early Breyer horses..and the history of the horse which started in 1950s.

That is a beautiful model.  I love the Clydesdale models and have a large collection too.  We are heading to Breyerfest in KY again this year.  It's a great place to develop your appreciation for Breyers!!  We've managed to go for over 10 years. LOL

The link tulagirl gave is the best one currently.  There are a few things missing from there particularly the most recently announced (such as Breyerfest and various club models).  Most all the other links I have are for dealers, forums, or specialized sites.

Well, the place where you got that picture, http://www.handhwc.com/, is a good start for finding what's new

There is always a very active paid forum for model horse collectors, http://www.modelhorseblab.com/forums/forum.php if you want to get serious it is a great place to go.

Thank you all for the links and advice :)

It means that all the handsome breyers I'm seeing are mostly customs and reposes :o

I'll see about joining another forum after getting my first one.
