My Little Pony Monopoly?! Has Anyone Else Seen This?

They were selling them at Dragoncon, but they were 40 bucks a pop. And I really couldn't justify spending forty dollars on a monopoly set when all I'm really interested in is either displaying it MIB or ripping out the pony figures to line up with my blind bags and busy books figures. I mean I suppose 40 for it at a con is better than 40 dollars online plus shipping, but still. There's other things I want more.

I saw these at Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago and was tempted to pick one up. My boyfriend actually tried to push me into it, but not for the ponies. He just loves playing Monopoly and saw it as a way to get me to play it with him more. We already have two different editions of the game and I just couldn't justify the price tag, so I'm hoping it'll go on sale eventually.

They have it at the comic book shoppe, but they didn't show and "houses" or "hotels" in any of the pics on the box, which confused me.  Is it like regular monopoly, or is it simplified for kids or something?

We have it here in OK at Hastings with a bunch of the other "novelty" versions.

I've only seen it for $44.95 so far... which I guess is still cheaper than buying it on line plus shipping.  ...I really want this.  Hm...

Its regular monopoly - its just that everything is pony-fied USAopoly who are the Monopoly licensee that Hasbro work with on this, simply take all the elements/rules of regular Monopoly and convert it to suit the licence - be that MLP or Star Wars.

I will receive it soon I got a disc code from Barnes and Noble and then they had it reduced from 50 to 40 , so ended up paying 30  for it

My brother saw it at Barnes and Noble, but it was like $45 or something along those lines... Pricey, but who knows? He might surprise me with it on Christmas  if not oh well  (its not high priority)

Btw.....you know that's the normal price for monopoly games right? they have been that much for years. My Disney monopoly was £45 -£50 6 years ago.... (thats about $65) & my Simpsons one was about £35-£40 (they are metal figures though, not sure if this one is or not) so $40-$45 (£25-£28)  for this mlp ones is actually a good price. Unfortunately its not G1 so for now I don't want it  :p
