Not sure where to go from here? Non paying ebayer
« on: January 12, 2014, 09:56:12 AM »
I put my Flutterbat plushie for sale up on eBay, and she ended a few hours ago. A few minutes ago I received a message simply stating:

"I'm sorry but I don't have enough money to pay for this item."

So I sent a message back saying:

"Why did you bid on this item if you don't have the funds?"

I'm just looking for a little advice; I'm not sure what to do? They've only got 8 feedback, and it's all positive.

Report them immediately.

I've accidentally been in this situation myself- bid on something I could afford at the time, and had something come up that took my money- but I still paid the seller. It's not their fault and your bid is a contract to pay! I borrowed money from a friend to pay the auction.

I've had this happen more than a few times, unfortunately. Report him, then you can either relist the item or give a 2nd chance offer to. The next highest bidder. It sux that we can't leave negative feedback for buyers, but since he's new eBay will probably send him a warning and hopefully he'll think twice before doing this again!

Makes me wonder whether some people do this in the hope you'll offer a discount of some sort?  :wonder:

Glad you got what you wanted for it anyway  :thumb:
