And yes, yes, always keep backups! Keep backups of backups!! Just, in general, on the internet, if you think you'll miss it if it's gone, SAVE IT. I've lost stuff from computer crashes or sites dying (anyone remember xs.to? An old image-hosting site from the mid-2000s) before and I'd give anything to get those back. Back up everything!!

This. This whole thing is just annoying and inconvenient to me. Anything that's on my PB, I have backed up in quadruplicate in various places... Quadruplicate is probably excessive for most, but I'm thorough and paranoid about data loss

Well...can't say I've ever seen a business shoot themselves in the foot any harder than PB just has. What in the world is their team doing?! This is arguably the worst idea I've ever heard of.

I've seen something nearly as bad. Just this year too. Back in Feb it leaked that American Girl got the bright idea to start permanently attaching the underwear to it dolls. At the SAME TIME they released their very first bathroom with a toilet!  :argh: Forcing dolls to go potty with their underwear on.  The AG fans revolted and the company was forced to reverse the idiotic decision.

The only way this isn't as bad as PB is because AG wasn't attaching the underwear and then charging us $400 to get it removed. What PB is doing should be illegal! It's nothing but ransom and blackmail!

I did see that even though I don't have any AGs! I didn't see they reversed it though. Glad they did! Because yeah...that was also incredibly stupid.

This here is some kind of cartoon mustache twirling villain stuff, but like the bumbling joke/idiot villain kind. "We lock up their data and charge them $400 to get it back! Brilliant!Muahahahahaha! ...What do you mean no one is paying the ransom and we're shutting down?"

I expect to see PB gone in a month or two at most if they don't reverse this too. A shame because I was one of those "been using it for a decade" people and I hate what it became the past couple years.

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: eBay Local Pick Up Risks?
« on: June 30, 2017, 07:51:45 PM »
I sort of did a pickup once. Bought a doll at a small con, but didn't have the cash on me. So the vendor was kind enough to let me pay them with Paypal on the spot. They then wrote up the reciept for me the same way they did for the other items, but added a "recieved" section that I had to sign. We then both had a copy of the reciept. But I also agree on meeting somewhere public, don't go alone, and take photos as well. :) Agreed too though that more of the risk is on the seller when it comes to ebay. Without all that, it would be hard to prove the seller did their part.

Well...can't say I've ever seen a business shoot themselves in the foot any harder than PB just has. What in the world is their team doing?! This is arguably the worst idea I've ever heard of. And it is SO weird who it's affecting and who it isn't. So far...none of my images have been replaced. Neither here or in my very large photo thread on another forum. I'm an active user too. Just...O_o

What would you guys say now is the most private image hosting site? I stuck with PB for so long because I don't want all this tagging stuff, upvoting stuff, rando comments. I just want to host and share in specific places. If I wanna share images with the whole world, I use Instagram or whatever. Flickr is probably out for me though because I would just feel like I'm stinking up the place with my amateur hobby photography and sales photos.

Hate to say it, but any time I get "I need to ask my mom/dad" I consider the transaction dead. 90% of the time they do not pay up after those words are uttered.

There's really no excuse for that. Age isn't one. When I was 14 and buying online...I got the OK and the money from my mom FIRST before ever even initiating the inquiry about an item I wanted to buy. If it wouldn't work in an IRL store, I don't try it online either. You can't go into any other place and claim an IOU in your parent's name.

Kid's being a little scammer and 15 is old enough to know better. Hate that happened to you when you were just trying to be nice.  :( But since his parents can't be easily notified of his behavior, then yeah, it probably is better to just ignore him from now on.

One more bump. This stuff has to go!

Bump! Updated the post with sold items and added a special limited time sale! Since this post doesn't get as many views as other places, you guys get the promotion a week early! Take advantage before other platforms find out! ;)

Unfortunately putting "no refunds" and "no returns" in your sales on ebay is essentially just bluffing. It can scare off someone who doesn't know how ebay works from trying it, but at the end of the day, ebay can and will force you to accept a return and refund regardless of how you wrote your own policy. Ebay's policy overrides the seller's policies. :( All part of their "the customer is ALWAYS right" thinking.

But that is weird to state they want the book after it was turned away. I can't see how they benefit from that one. If it were buyer's remorse, then yeah, all they'd have to do is return to you and then not answer you and they'd eventually be refunded by you or ebay depending on how they wanted to deal with it.

Little me would wonder where the heck I went "wrong" for sure. I hated "girl" toys, pink, brushables, and especially horses/ponies in general(My distant relative used to REALLY try to force horse toys and glittery rainbow things on me, I think that had something to do with it.)

Depending on how young we're talking, child me would probably say that I needed to ditch MLP and dolls immediately to acquire more Digimon stuff and video games instead(Of course, not understanding that I can have all those things in my adult life at once.)

Lots for sale today! First off, starting with basic info!

*I ship from California in the US and am not offering international shipping at this time(working on it. Apologies for the inconvience. I can ship from a PO international if you do not mind a 1-2 week wait time for the item to be shipped to you. But note that I also do not underdeclare and it must have tracking.)

*My shipping time for domestic orders is now a faster 1-3 days!

*I have feedback from ebay and the PKMNCollectors LJ group. Just ask to see my links!

*I currently only accept Paypal. (No e-checks or Money Orders please.)

*I am not open to trades at this time, sorry!

*Prices do NOT include shipping, but they do include fees.

*I will do holds for 24 hours! Unless we work something out previously, any item that is not paid for within 24 hours will go back up for sale. I DO count price quotes as a type of hold so you have time to reply.

*These items do come from a dog-friendly but smoke free home. Pets do not come into any contact with my items.

* I am not responsible for items lost by the post office. Once it is out of my hands, there is nothing I can do besides provide you with proof of shipping from my end. Please purchase insurance if you are concerned about loss.

*All sales are final! Ask all questions about condition BEFORE you buy!

*I do not accept returns for any item that was not defective or damaged in some way.

(Ask a million questions if you have to, I don't bite! I will answer them all to avoid any return attempts.)

The ones with the higher prices are ones that I think have 90% or more completion in their outfits. But they are still very much priced to sell!

Pony Corral / Re: Big Mac Build-a-Bear Plush now available!

Arghhh, BaB stop doing this to me! The temptation is real. I missed Shining Armor when he was around. It's not even that I love Big Mac or anything, it's that I have Applejack and Apple Bloom and I like to complete a family lol.

I know it's easy to feel bad about it, but tbh $18 isn't a bad price for the seller to have lost to learn a lesson. This WILL happen to them again if they don't change their ways of shipping. That method of shipping was bad even for within the US. I'm sure they were probably already damaged when they got to your proxy in Miami.

And don't believe her on the insurance claim thing either. USPS would have NEVER paid out the insurance for that. They too would've said it was the seller's bad packing that caused damage. Not them. Which is true in this case. I've seen WAY worse damage to items packed extremely well(smashed boxes, broken figures) and USPS will still claim they did nothing and that it's not their problem. It's very hard to actually get them to pay up when something IS their fault, but in this case it's not their fault anyway.

So I'd just take the refund and ignore them now at this point too. You did your best to be reasonable, and it would be okay to feel bad if they had worked with you or been nice to you...but all they did was ignore you and then say everything was somehow not their fault or was even your fault. They're not worth your sympathy in this case, that's bad customer service.

I hope you can find a way to make your ponies look nice again. :(

Pony Corral / Re: new eqg minis
« on: March 22, 2017, 10:32:52 PM »
Yeaaaaaah, gonna need all of the non-Mane 6 from this set. Muffins especially. But I like all of them!

29
Odd one out here probably, but I think I'm actually just going to stick to Equestria Girls minis at this point. I really want the new reboot brushables and such...but I just can't justify buying all these characters over again to myself for some reason. And I say that as someone who has TWO other unrelated collections that are armies of one character each.

I recently put away 90% of my G4 collection, and haven't wanted to bother trying to sell since everyone else is sort of bailing out now too...figured it's not really even worth it. So they'll sit in a box in my closet until I figure out what to do with them.

I'm not interested in the previous gens in the slightest, so that means I'm sort of dropping out of pony for the most part. Got too many other hobbies in line in front of it. The reason why I'm sticking to the minis is because of the character variety and they sorta blend in with my anime figures like my nendoroids and whatnot. They just fit in better in my otherwise anime-centric collections.

So I'm in a weird spot...I AM still interested, just not in the mane 6 again for the 5 millionth time. Even if the molds and poses are different. It's just not tempting enough to be a priority to me anymore for the most part.

30
I think that may be the norm right now. Back in NOVEMBER my mom sent two postcards back here to CA and we just barely got them last week or so  So it may take a while...Not sure if they're always like that though. I hope it gets moving soon  :(
