I am going to be having a contest soon and still getting everything ready so input is welcome! I will be giving lots of mh stuff away... Thanks so much!

Im thinking that would be the funnest too. Ive started a list to find items for each mh doll: frankie a bolt, robecca a pocket watch, things like that. Gil and scarah screams is two im having a hard time  with what items would be for them.

A scavenger hunt works like this: You get a list of items to hunt for in a certian amount of time.. the first person to get all items or the most before the time expires wins the hunt. So for example if the list was
 1: a barbie with blond hair,
 2: a green pencil
 3: a set of cuff links
And so on and so on... Who ever found all these items first would win the prize. It can be fun to do this in big groups, with partners, ect.. Ive really only done one hunt, so rules may vary some, but this is how I understand it.
The prizes Im giving away are: Mh lava lamp, mh doll stands, mh costume, 2 mh dolls, coloring pages, stickers, mh car decal, mh hair bows, and lots more... I have tons mh stuff.

So far I plan to go with a monster high scavenger hunt starting feb 10th. How long should I give people to do a scavenger hunt??? I plan On sending a invite with the list of items as of now Im debating to do the same contest on this site but the shipping is the tricky part.. I will have to look into the rules more. The  hunter would just have to show me the pictures of their items with a date and name (no pictures found on internet would count) they have to be items the hunter can actually touch.. If anyone has a better idea how to do this I would love to hear... I will be emailing/pm the list to people on the site doing the hunt. Thanks

Yes it can be found in your home, Excludes pictures of item. For example: If the item was a penny I would not accept a picture of a penny from the computer/ internet. It must be real (you can take a picture of item in your hand)

I think the allotted time would depend on the number of items & difficulty of locating them. Maybe give them 48 hours? I'm sure people could finish sooner, but (in your example) who actually owns a pocket watch these days? That might require a field trip rather than finding it laying around the house. Maybe you could say "48 (or 24?) hours or until x number of people turn in their forms." Sounds fun!

  thanks! Maybe I should do this on a weekend so kids can get involved too. Im getting excited about doing this, and hope the hunt is a lot of fun. Any item Ideas ?

How would this work for people in non-US time zones? It just wouldn't be fair for those who aren't awake to see the hunt items. Maybe a better way would be to put all the winning scavengers into a hat and draw a name at random?

 No it wouldnt be fair and I never thought about time zones.. So thank you for your input and I will take this into account, I would hate to leave people out because they dont live here in the US.  If you think of any other ideas how this could work better Im always up for the challenge. As for drawing names I May have different winners than, Break it up into 1st place, 2nd, 3rd and maybe a grand prize.
