Yes, day of the dead skulls have the name of the person they represent when they were living written on them. So in life, Skelita was a girl named Katrina.
that is interesting....and kind of neat that Mattel would go to that much detail

That's cool, but my Skelita only has Mattel written at the base of her skull at the back.

Yay new thread! I attempted to get Jinafire (as in, she was remarkably still in stock, just won't be happy until she ships) off of Mattel's site... here's hoping I guess.

It does, especially because under PayPal it's marked as "Pending", so it didn't even start the process to pull it out of the bank account.. and I made the realization I won't get her until after the New Year. Damn Mattel, stop making people freak out and jump on these things (luckily I have the money, but still) :<

Ugh, what is with all the balding dolls lately?  x_x  If I pay $25+ for a doll, I'd expect her to have a decent amount of hair.  Is it just Dance Class and PD dolls that have hair problems or is Scaris affected too?

New thread!

That is so beautiful. (And also my name :ninja: so now I doubly can't wait for my Skelita to arrive!)

I'm wondering about the Scaris dolls as well, specifically Rochelle and Clawdeen since those are the two I want. I hope their hair is ok. I didn't know the Dance Class dolls had issues. I have two of DC Howleen and both have very thick hair. I also hadn't heard about others having issues with the PD dolls. Is this common with them?

New thread *bouncy bounce bounce*!!!!

None of my Deluxe Scaris dolls have thin hair, the basic Abbey I have may be a little thin, I haven't taken any of the dolls hair down though so I can't completely comfirm that. My PD Abbeys hair is very thin, she seems to be the most commonly bad with hair in that line. DC Lagoona I heard has bad hair, not sure about Robecca or Operetta but my Howleen is fine.

Curse you Mattel! Why does Jinafire have to be in stock now that I spent the extra money I had on PD Spectra? Though I must say, I adore my Spectra ^.^ Maybe I'll buy her when I return the PD Cleo I was sent by mistake instead of 2.0 Cleo.....

Well, my Jinafire now says "Items(s) in stock" in regards to the order status.. which makes me more hopeful that they actually had them in the warehouse ;o;/. I just hope her face is nice, I don't exactly want to deal with "OH WELL YOU GOTTA SEND HER BACK FOR A VOUCHER" and I never see her again.
