What monster high Contest would be funnest?
1: Color/Poster contest
2: Create your own Mh doll contest
3: Going on a mh scavenger hunt?
4: Making your own Mh story
5: Other kind of contest (ideas welcome)
I am going to be having a contest soon and still getting everything ready so input is welcome! I will be giving lots of mh stuff away... Thanks so much!

If I were to participate in any of those, I would enjoy the scavenger hunt the most :P

Im thinking that would be the funnest too. Ive started a list to find items for each mh doll: frankie a bolt, robecca a pocket watch, things like that. Gil and scarah screams is two im having a hard time with what items would be for them.

How would a scavenger hunt game work exactly?

Scavenger hunt/ photo scavenger hunt would be so fun.

A scavenger hunt works like this: You get a list of items to hunt for in a certian amount of time.. the first person to get all items or the most before the time expires wins the hunt. So for example if the list was
1: a barbie with blond hair,
2: a green pencil
3: a set of cuff links
And so on and so on... Who ever found all these items first would win the prize. It can be fun to do this in big groups, with partners, ect.. Ive really only done one hunt, so rules may vary some, but this is how I understand it.
The prizes Im giving away are: Mh lava lamp, mh doll stands, mh costume, 2 mh dolls, coloring pages, stickers, mh car decal, mh hair bows, and lots more... I have tons mh stuff.

So far I plan to go with a monster high scavenger hunt starting feb 10th. How long should I give people to do a scavenger hunt??? I plan On sending a invite with the list of items as of now Im debating to do the same contest on this site but the shipping is the tricky part.. I will have to look into the rules more. The hunter would just have to show me the pictures of their items with a date and name (no pictures found on internet would count) they have to be items the hunter can actually touch.. If anyone has a better idea how to do this I would love to hear... I will be emailing/pm the list to people on the site doing the hunt. Thanks

I'd be up for a scavenger hunt- can the stuff be found in the house or does it have to be outside the house?

Yes it can be found in your home, Excludes pictures of item. For example: If the item was a penny I would not accept a picture of a penny from the computer/ internet. It must be real (you can take a picture of item in your hand) :)

I think the allotted time would depend on the number of items & difficulty of locating them. Maybe give them 48 hours? I'm sure people could finish sooner, but (in your example) who actually owns a pocket watch these days? That might require a field trip rather than finding it laying around the house. Maybe you could say "48 (or 24?) hours or until x number of people turn in their forms." Sounds fun!

:) thanks! Maybe I should do this on a weekend so kids can get involved too. Im getting excited about doing this, and hope the hunt is a lot of fun. Any item Ideas ?

How would this work for people in non-US time zones? It just wouldn't be fair for those who aren't awake to see the hunt items. Maybe a better way would be to put all the winning scavengers into a hat and draw a name at random?

No it wouldnt be fair and I never thought about time zones.. So thank you for your input and I will take this into account, I would hate to leave people out because they dont live here in the US. If you think of any other ideas how this could work better Im always up for the challenge. As for drawing names I May have different winners than, Break it up into 1st place, 2nd, 3rd and maybe a grand prize.

Like the Ideas! Neat!
No body should go out and buy any of the items that will be on a list in order for it to count. (unless you must have it)
These items can be found anywhere, : Goodwill, thrift store, neighbors, your familys your local pet store...As long as you bring your camera and get a photo of it in your hand with your name wrote by it on a paper/post it note with date: (I dont need full name It can even be a made up name, but name must be same in all photos.) Multi items can be put together for one picture But Still need your name, date, and proof that these are real items and not pictures of the items. And all items must be able to be seen clear.
I will have all rules posted with list on day of the hunt.
I will be going on the hunt my self just to see if I can find the items myself with my Little monster... For me its more of a bonding time than anything. We do a lot of fun stuff like this....
These are the things kids remember..
So if you dont have a kid of your own, (you dont need one) grab a cousin, neice, newphew, even take your pet if you want.. Its all about having fun the prizes are just extras.

This sounds so cute!
They did a Halloween scavenger photo hunt on the MLPTP a couple of years ago, they had some funny challenges like getting a pic of a pony with a street sign that says their name on it, a pony encased in ice, or partly encased in ice. I think there was some sort of bobbing for ponies, anyway, it doesn't have to just be an object, it can be like a Monster High ghoul doing something like on a playground at a park or something. :) Anyway, just an idea.

Gives me more to think about.... hmmmm Ill be busy running these ideas by some kids and see what they come up with too. But some kids have some crazy ideas. But I promise to have my Monster High Kid Fan Team come up with something fun. And Safe! My Boys that I watch could care less about the safety of these dolls. :lol: And Thank you
