Title: Question about MH CAM sets
Post by: 4Lindy on January 16, 2012, 11:14:42 AM
Does anyone know can you use a torso from a regular MH doll, with the parts from one of the CAM add on sets?  For instance can I buy the Skeleton set, and add all her bits onto the torso of an old Draculaura that I already have for instance. Any help would be great!  Thanks!

The only thing you can add on is the head.

The rest of the parts wont fit as the lower arm and hand  pegs are bigger.
Also the upper arms and lover legs cant be removed from the standard torso, well withough some major DIY skills that is.

You can, buuutttt it will take a bit of DIY.
Theres plenty of tutorials,such as
http://paintedplasticsmiles.blogspot.com/2012/01/tutorial-mh03-putting-kit-parts-on.html
Basically you shave down the pegs from the arms a wee bit and re-sculpt the knee pegs(I've also seen the option of chopping off the legs at the knee and using a dremal tool to make a peg hole)
I plan on doing this with the triclops and a SS Abby.

I attempted to take off the lower part of the leg and her whole leg came off... It is impossible to take the lower part of the leg off without actually using a tool.

Using tweezers to split the seam on the back of the leg to wiggle out the knee joint should work. But no,I dont think you can do it with your bare hands.

Alrak, Repulsive, are you still going to make extra torsos and upper limbs?  I'm definitely still interested!

She told me she was just going to put up 10 on Etsy so she wouldn't be overwhelmed.  When she gets the first batch done she'll put up more.

What about the limbs, especially the upper ones? Tho it would be neat to be able have lower limbs in other colors too.
