Unusually sunny in my latitudes for the year. It's hot too. Nice if you ask someone in a Northern country where it's mostly rain, snow and cold.

I remember the G1 and the cartoons when I was a teenager. I had a friend with a little sister and she was totally obsessed with the G1 when it was the big thing in the -80s. Of course, we then also had the opportunity to watch VHS tapes with the ponies.

I actually enjoyed the stories, it wasn't as bad as a guy of that age would think. It was cute somehow.

The years passed, and quite a while later I saw DVD movies in the grocery store with ponies. So couldn't resist buying one of every episode I found in the pile. It was "My Little Pony Tales" and I remember it being completely different from the previous G1 movies I had seen.

But it was so cute, it was in my own language so my little daughter loved it. And we probably watched those movies 1000's of times over and over again.

Don't believe the rumours. G4 is still a thing :) There are still conventions where you can buy G4 things either official or fanmade.
I collect them besides G1 to G3 but not all the merch like you would do with the older gens.

I know that it is still big, I am involved myself.  :)

But I mean here in the MLP Arena?  :P

Oh cool thread!

I'm from Sweden, but I'm quite happy that Sweden didn't have a chance. Of course the song was good, but now it was another country that was going to have the event, right?

What can I say about Switzerland? The flag is a plus anyway. The message of the song was good, but I don't know if it was that playable on the radio charts?
But they really deserved the win. Hope it will be a fun good event next year from them.

In last years Eurovision I thought Australia was great. Never heard of the progressive rock band Voyager before. Don't understand at all how they managed to get into Eurovision, partly because it's Australia and partly because their music was way above average for this type of music competition. Glad I found them anyway. The craziest thing of all was that they had a Toyota MR2 on stage. A bit car crazy as I am, I just had to put one in my garage too *lol* yes, music is an unfathomable source of inspiration, in every way.

I don't know if you can call it a collection?

But there are starting to be a bit too many cars. *lol*

After years of streaming and online music, I'm actually a bit tired of it. Started looking for CDs and physical media again. Mostly because it reminds of times gone by. Holding something in your hand that actually exists and can be touched is underestimated today.

The fact that several of our older cars still have CD players is also a reason that made it interesting. Unfortunately, it's gone in the last few leased cars.

There's something special about old-school stuff and the older you get, the more you appreciate it, it seems.

Just take the MiniDisc, who remembers it now? Yes I do. Before the MP3 player made its entrance, that was what mattered. And it's still nice today. Took my old collection down from the attic and the old deck, everything still worked, amazing. So much nostalgia. Oh, oh, what memories you get. Still cool today.

Pony Corral / Is G4 a thing?

Since I've been away from pony collecting for so long, I've almost lost the whole thing about the old "real" MLPs. What about the G4? Does anyone collect them, or is that not a thing? Is it a neigh say or YAAY say?

At work, waiting and waiting for us to start the final tests of the safety systems at the power plant I work at.

We have been down for more than a month for refuling and maintenance that needs to be done annually.

A lot has to go through at a nuclear power plant before we start up for a year of operation again. This will take about 72h for 6 persons to do in shifts.

Oh yeah forgot, control systems are my focus here.

I know it's a completely different type of pony forum, but who knows?

Have spent a lot of time there talking pony, so would be nice if somepony found their way to this place too.

Normal working day at my job. Then back home, get some big bales of hay for the horses, it's starting to run out at home. Shovel more snow, it just keeps coming more every day. Extra hard to drive to collect the hay with all the snow everywhere on the small roads here. Not fun to meet cars with a tractor and wagon behind on the narrow road. But it's beautiful to look at, so you quickly forget all the extra work it entails.

Then tonight, just take it easy, rest up for a new day tomorrow.

Gator: Hope everything is better with you now, everything gets better with meeting friends and with friendship. Merry Christmas!

Ponybookworm: Thank you for the welcome!Warm and cozy inside now. Merry Christmas!

Beldarna: Cool another Swede here. It was the storm Pia that was the reason for all the snow shoveling for me, Yes, we got enough snow this Christmas ;) Hope you have a nice traditional Swedish Christmas with Donald Duck and all the weird things we do here in Sweden :)

Now my ponies and donkeys are going to get some carrots before there will be a smaller Christmas celebration tonight at home. The sun is setting now and we had an absolutely magical Christmas Eve weather-wise. Completely windless, calm and everything covered in white fluffy snow everywhere. Now it feels good to be a workhorse on a farm far out in the country.

Wishing everyone a nice weekend and Merry Christmas!

 Shoveled snow, we got 50cm (19") of wet snow, blah. Took half the day around the farm with tractor and shovel, our cars were stuck too, trees had fallen over the small roads here in the area.. But now it's CHRISTMAS or actually Hearts warming in the G4 world.
