I have had a thought of a OC pony for such a long time, and actually sketched her on my calendar at work a month ago. Didn't have an eraser, so there's a few mistakes and it's a bit messy :lol:I love drawing by hand! I wanted her cutie mark to be a some kind of a succulent, I drew so many versions of it  In this drawing she reminds me of a G1 pony and that's the vibe I was going for. I love her mane but wasn't able to get that vibe to the digital piece.

When I finally sat down with my drawing tablet and did the linework (its too thick & dark & looks weird) for her, I was lost with the colour scheme. I'm sure this is not her final version, I'm probably going to change the colours. The cutie mark looks a little bit too detailed, I'm going to make it simpler next time. Less leaves maybe! When drawing digitally, I draw in a style that makes me think of G3 ponies, but I think that it suits her!

Her eye colour is the same as the flowers in her mane. After drawing this first picture I've thought about making her a unicorn ^.^
But hey, now I finally have an idea of my first ever OC pony, even though she's not the final version yet ^.^

Looking great (both versions)! I like the colours, but sometimes you need to experiment a little to see what feels right.
I love the subtle blush in the digital image!

She looks really nice :D The green and white works really well. The flow in her manes in the first pic is pretty cool
I'm forever tinkering with my own OCs design, so good luck haha ^^"

Lovely concept and bringing to fruition.
I wouldnt say it's too detailed =)
I think it all works together.

I love her! I’m on my way into the field of animation, and I love character design. It’s one of my favourite parts of the process.
It’s normal for characters to go through several iterations and development stages before the final drawing. Keep at it, and eventually the right design will come.
