Shocked by old stock!

I was in my local TrU getting some last minute Christmas stuff for my son, and you know I had to look in the pony aisle. I was hoping that they would have the set with Minty in it because I knew some TrU's had them in stock. No luck on that, but to my surprise they had a bunch of Cutiemark Crusaders as flower girls on the shelves. I couldn't believe it. They came out literally years ago.

What crazy old stock have you seen in your stores?

I know a place where Rarity's Carousel Boutique is sold. It has damaged package so it's cheap.

About 10-15 years ago I was shopping in Albertson's and found an original, unopened G1 Merry Go Round board game on the shelf.  I put it in my cart and finished grabbing my other items, and when I went to the register, they had no idea how much to price it for and it wasn't in the system, so they sold it to me for a dollar.

The local Walgreens has been carrying this Rarity since forever, apparently priced too high for anyone to want it.

I once bought the Rarity and Princess Luna brushable 2 pack at a Walmart years after it was out of stock everywhere.

Yeah, I see the flower follies almost every time I go to TRU.

Did people not buy the ponies, and that's why they're still there, or did hasbro make too many?

The Kmart near me still has the tinsel Rainbow Power ponies.

Ha I have seen that Rarity at Walgreens too and was wondering why they had such a high price tag on it.

I remember the old TRU in Birmingham having the Bed and Crib set (G1) when I was at university doing my undergrad in 2000-2003 (bearing in mind that G1 ended in the UK in 1994...)

The tinsel G4 are still here too and have been for a long time.

Old stock often comes out around Christmas.

I'm convinced they got a new order of the Cutie Mark Crusaders from the wedding series.

They disappeared at my store. Then showed back up with packaging damage. Sold out. And have been restocked on the shelves twice since then. They supposedly sell out every major sale and then there are still more. It's like what the heck where are these things coming from?

I've seen the Flower Fillies set, the original white talking Celestia, and the 3 pack with pink Celestia, Twilight, and Spike in several TRU.  I've also seen the Rainbow Power brushables in Kmarts for years.

I see heaps of g3.5 stock in my old hometown whenever I go back there, still priced full retail. Last Christmas I also bought 4 of the early non-mane 6 brushables with the carts. I think I got Snowcatcher, Flitterheart, Honeybuzz and Plumsweet?

I got that TRU set with Minty in Paris 3 months ago. Nearly missed our plane from unpackaging and cramming it into our luggage, but so worth it - it's never been sold in Australia that I've seen!

I still see the flower fillies and set with pink Celestia, unicorn Twilight and  quadrupedal Spike every time I go to my local TRU, the Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie rainbow power FS at my local B&N, and the original EqG set with Sunset and Twilight at my local TRU Outlet.
