I saw you post this girl on Instagram and was so excited about your win! I absolutely love her, her hairstyle is so over the top and opulent. Great work!

That's really cool! I just ordered from you recently and was so happy with my purchase. The hologram fabric is really fantastic and the flutter wings are sooooo amazing!

MLP Nirvana / Re: Price Check on three Alitas
« on: November 02, 2018, 03:17:24 PM »
If they were original they'd go for $120-160 each depending on their condition. No wings and cut hair would place them at $30-50 each.

I'd think rehaired and rewinged they'd sell for $40-50 a piece.

The Argies seem to be going for crazy prices right now, but there haven't been many for sale and sometimes people go batty for them.

Love pkw xxx

Thanks PKW!

MLP Nirvana / Price Check on three Alitas
« on: November 01, 2018, 02:27:29 PM »
Hi guys!  Several years ago I purchased three restored Alitas from michelle53.  If I remember correctly, all three were given replacement wings and rehaired.  I have one each of Whirly, Cool Breeze, and Moon Jumper.  All three have a bit of symbol rub and Moon Jumper has some staining on her feet.  At the moment I am trying to get a ballpark price with the potential to sell them.  I can't find my camera at the moment so no pictures right now, sorry.

I have these three girls I am potentially interested in selling.  Each one includes her comb and wings (functioning), both eye gems intact, and minimal to no wear on their horns.  Trying to figure out what a reasonable price is to ask in that condition.

Pony Corral / Re: How Many G4 Collectors Left?
« on: September 19, 2018, 07:50:55 AM »
I stopped buying completely when they switched to the new molds.  I still have a good amount of custom bait of the old style G4's left over, and I certainly have plenty of inspiration to work on customs, but I am setting aside some of the released ponies to sell, since I'm not as thrilled with some of the designs anymore.

Does anyone have any good tips or pointers on how to best sew small pony clothes? Im making a set of customs for a friend and I need to make some jackets and T-shirts. I was going to wing it and make patterns until one worked but I thought I would ask and see if anyone had any tips!  Ive made some small hats for Monster High dolls but never true clothes, and certainly not for ponies. It seems so daunting  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If you're trying to sew clothes for G4's, I did post a pattern and tutorial in Arts and Crafts several years ago for a shirt or dress.  That might be a good starting point for what you're trying to do.  :)

Super gorgeous!  I really love the freckles and the matching wire color you used for the wings!

The Dollhouse / Wanted -- Batchix Mini Machina Delta/Blip/Eta
« on: January 09, 2017, 02:36:35 PM »
Hey there!  I recently fell in love with these dolls, but the artist doesn't seem to be accepting orders for these at the moment.  I would absolutely love to provide a home to one!

I'm most interested in Delta, but Blip or Eta would be cool too!  Color unimportant, not worried about accessories except the cat ears she can come with (and if she doesn't have them, it's not a deal-breaker).  I'm located in the US and would be willing to provide payment with Paypal.  Let me know if you're selling one, and what you're asking price is.

Thank you for your time, and have a great day!

About 10-15 years ago I was shopping in Albertson's and found an original, unopened G1 Merry Go Round board game on the shelf.  I put it in my cart and finished grabbing my other items, and when I went to the register, they had no idea how much to price it for and it wasn't in the system, so they sold it to me for a dollar.

Plastic Candy is another great resource, and includes reviews of different sets (including some Re-ment), as well as lots of tutorials.  This site tends to focus more on redecorating existing buildings and showing how to make different miniatures to go along with it, so it can also be a huge help!

 Plastic Candy's my blog! I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned on a non-Sylvanian related site before.

Really?  That's so awesome!  I didn't realize you were a member here, but your blog totally deserves a mention!  Your building repaint/remodels especially have been a big source of inspiration for me.  I think one of my favorites is the sewing supply shop, because the attention to detail is absolutely fantastic!

I absolutely adore diorama stuff for ponies, especially G4's, so this is going to be a bit of an infodump, but hopefully it helps someone out!

G4's are sort of a weird size, but "generally" fit into 1:12 scale.  That means you could go the traditional miniature/dollhouse route and they would fit nicely.  Here is a bunch of info about different brands I've found that work well also!

Lil' Woodzeez / Calico Critters -- as mentioned, these are a really fantastic size.  The Woodzeez especially are much less expensive, and they keep introducing new playsets and accessory packs.  Here's an old picture of the Lil' Woodzeez bakery:

As mentioned, they are exclusive to Target, which can make them harder to find based on your location.  Also, keep in mind that Calico Critters are called Sylvanian Families in some areas, and playset/accessory availability can vary wildly as well.

Lori -- another Target exclusive, they are the miniature version of Our Generation.  They have an apartment complex and a ballet studio, but the sizing is too big for G4's (everything is way too tall).  The accessory sets are perfect though -- I picked up the "Gourmet Market" and "Mix and Bake Set" at Target last time I was there and they are reasonably priced, with a lot of detail.

Playmobil -- surprisingly, these can work very nicely!  There is a huge variety of playsets, everything from pirate ships to hotels to tons of castles.  I currently have a hotel, unicorn castle, pirate island, pirate ship, medieval blacksmith, and rock star stage for my G4's.  I don't have pictures of most of them, but here's an old picture of the unicorn castle:

And here is a diorama I made with a few different sets -- this has the Playmobil rockstar stage, the Playmobil snack stand, and the Sylvanian Families popcorn cart, with the Lil' Woodzeez picnic set in front:

If you are more crafty, there are some great Sylvanian Families blogs with fantastic tutorials on how to make your own miniatures and dioramas, and they would all fit perfectly for G4's.

Mimi's Little Sylvanian Town is on hiatus, but has some of the best tutorials I've seen for building your own towns, everything from flowers to your own stores!  Great detailed instructions, and tons of pictures are a big help!

This was a big post, but hopefully this helps give you some ideas!  Let me know if there is anything else I mentioned that you might like to see a picture of as well!

She is absolutely fantastic!  The color scheme is lovely and the details are amazing!  Also, I love that you posted the style sheet for her as well.  Any time I do a more complicated custom I like to create a sketch or two to work from, and it's nice to see what other people work from as well. :)
