Moonstar's Pony Doodles
I've been on DA for many years but I'm not sure if I ever had a art topic here? I use drawing to help with parts of my cerebral palsy and ponies make me happy :). So I thought I'd start a pony art topic here and add to it often  These are my last few pony pics (from newest to older), more to come, I just got a new tablet and drawing paper :lookround:

What an amazing opportunity!  I agree, I'd love to see pics! Someday I'd love to go to England and Scotland myself :) Do you get to pick the time of year you get to go?

Nope, and I really wish I wasn't single. It's hard meeting guys around my age that are single, and I hate the whole dating thing altogether. I'm much more the sort that's really down to earth and feels like she should already be married but I guess there must be something wrong with me. Guys I have dated have used me or cheated on me or a mix of both. I feel like I'm not that exciting a guess and my best friend wants to take pics of me and write a very out of character simple profile for me on a certain dating app...But I'm really not sure about that :(

All that said I am a hopeless romantic and love stories about it, I just don't know if it will ever happen for me

I got Baby Princess Sparkle for my 12th birthday, and I still have her buggy but it needs new lace and a new top heart\ribbon to hold on the umbrella . She died of mold when my father's basement flooded but I have a replacement again  :) If only my ma had let me have the less than ten dollars at the time when I was really little I would have had Rapunzel but ah well  I still love that pony just from a style standpoint, I wish she wasn't so rare so I could add her to my childhood collection retroactively -_-

Sparkler was the first pony I remember getting, but I had FF Minty and Applejack way back when to so I dunno. I was born the same year as year 2 so there is a chance I had them since I was a baby and just can't recall. I never gave up on my collection and still have my childhood ponies but there was a gap between the years when G1 ended, G2 ended, and ebay started :3

I'm sure if we had gotten some of the more jazzy ponies like the Glows and Hip Holly it might have helped, it's weird that they went right to an even smaller than core seven idea. I mean since G1 had only been gone a handful of years at the time and sold well having lots of different G2s to pick from should have been a good idea I think...(Then again we didn't get the G1 Tales ponies in the US even when the cartoon did well so who knows, maybe they thought we were brunt out? :\)

The lack of new characters really killed the line, from my admittedly narrow and consumer based view.
I remember going to Toys R' Us repeatedly looking for new ponies, only to be greeted with the same rack after rack of Sundance and Ivy Magic Motions, for months and months and months.  Also tons of the early playsets - the bed with Lightheart and the terribly designed Garden Case.

Never even saw the 98' singles (Cupcake, Sugar Belle, Secret Tale, Wingsong). No idea if they even made it to Canadian stores - I can't imagine that the retailers were all too keen on ordering the second offering when the first bombed so badly. We did get some of year 2 - the Sunny Garden Friends two packs (with recycled characters, bleh) and the Pretty Parlour were also shelf-warmers.
Yup we never got the singles, let alone any unicorns or the like, it was just the first set, the Magic Motions, the McD's ponies and then poof! they were all gone from the US after 1998. My tiny town actually gave up on them after  less than a month after Magic Motions were out, the only shop that had them was my drug store and they pulled them to make room for something else

I really love her, I use to have her at one point but I'm not sure what happened. I'd love to get one with minty-ish curls

I got her from a yard sale when I was little, she had no tail and I use to call her 'Teddy' because of her symbol . Good basic colors, she strikes me as a school teacher sort of pony :)

I don't have her but I love her, she has one of the most beautiful shades of orange for a body I think :). I've always had a soft spot for  glow in the dark toys, I wish they had made more with the idea, maybe with winger wings

I really like G2, sadly my love was cut short by only the first couple sets being put out in the US and then..nothing ;.; That is the reason why many G2s are still brand new to me after all these years. G2s from around the world I've found have been marked up a lot on ebay, at least the ones I've been hunting for years now. They're not even that rare from what I can tell...

I feel like ToysrUs might be able to make it as an online only toy store if they put an amazon prime like model of free shipping into effect, but if the stories of this debt are all true I guess they would not have the starter money for that :(. Still their brand is so well known I  wonder if someone is at least buying the name so it can live on somehow...

So sad, it's like a part of 80's history is fading away. I remember how their ads were on tv all the time on weekends. It's a shame when the love of toys and MLP is just as strong as ever.

I'm an old collector from way back in the day, 2003 is when I started here but my history in the online MLP fandom dates back to the late 90's. I collect mostly G1, but I also have a soft spot for G4 and G2. At this point I'm not very active in collecting but hoping to get back into it, I enjoy doing fanart :lookround:
