What made you smile today?

This is more of a "what made me smile yesterday" but I didn't get home until like half an hour ago, so... couldn't post it before :p

Last night was the final performance of Back to the Future: The Musical with the original cast.

Now anyone who's been paying attention to my posts in the 'what are you listening to' thread has probably noticed, I'm totally in love with this show When I first heard about it and saw the posters around London last year I couldn't imagine how on earth it could work, I thought, c'mon, seriously?? but it was still sort of on my radar.. cause the film IS sooooo good.. then I saw a TV performance of one of the songs and I was like, alright, you've got my attention!! and so I went in June (wish I'd gone earlier now! but, y'know, time, money, life, etc), and just fell in love right away. It WORKS (to quote one of the songs ) and it's just a really amazing show, like I couldn't imagine how you could top the original film cast, but they're all soooo good, they nail the chars perfectly WHILE not just copying the original performances, that's a tough balance to strike, but they MORE than pulled it off.

so when I heard about the upcoming cast change... well I knew we had to get tickets somehow. Managed to get some pretty good ones (row N so pretty far back, but still a great view).

And OH. MY. GOD. last night was just -- I'm still not over it!!! The cast were incredible, I mean, they always are, but they were even more incredible than usual last night... so much cheering and applause for EVERYthing, thought I was going to lose my voice by the end of the night So many good ad-libs and throw-in bits too ("I just hope they don't make it a musical!"). What a night!!!! Can't believe it's all over now. Man. Gonna be smiling all week after that one

My cat, stole my Mother little plush lamb and put it in the toilet. I have repeatedly warned my parents about the perils leaving the toilet seat up.

I told my Mum I could wash the lamb for her, but she is too grossed out (even thought the toilet was clean) so little lamb has gone in the bin.

Glad it made you smile and nice to know someone else's cat does/did this too.

Early this morning I finished my little felted sheep and I'm happy with how he came out. There are some mistakes but I don't think he's bad for my first animal and third felted project ever.

It is a nice feeling completing a craft project isn't it BC?

The "downing of the lamb" reminded me of something else Amber did. I used to have a chilli pepper pant and she picked the chilli's! Didn't eat them, just picked them all off one by one. Mum caught her at it and shoo'd her off, but I ended up with no chilli's as none were ripe and it was too late in the season for it to grow more, I didn't mind as the idea of a cat picking peppers just made me laugh so much (still does).

Happy ending, I rescued the lamb from the bin, nuked it in the washing machine and it is fresh as a daisy now. If Mum still doesn't want it, it can go to charity.

I made a suggestion for a fundraiser at work today.  Even though I have made this same suggestion in the past and it was completely ignored, today I was told that it was a good idea and we might actually be able to do it.

Pink Elephant Fakie Is Baby!!! I have a normal-sized yellow elephant fakie, & then PKW found a load more elephant fakies & offered me my choice. I told her I had yellow but would take pink. Pink arrived today with current order & is so smol & cute!!! Love her!!!

Since I've gotten into needle felting is there is one person whose tutorials I watch the most. I learned a lot from her. The sheep I made was made using one of her beginner tutorials. Anyway, I posted pics of my sheep on Instagram and tagged her to give her credit and she replied!!! She said my sheep was so fluffy and cute I felt like I meet a celebrity! And replied to her saying thanks and that she's my go-to and I've learned so much from her

i've been having my female issues this week. i always have trouble sleeping during this time of the month but my dog Jessie is very sensitive to any time one of use isn't feeling well. last night she came over and snuggled with me until i feel asleep. it made me feel better
