Embarrassing Nicknames You Call Your Significant Other???

My bestie has had a worse name thing going on. Her surname is Hare and she calls her fella her big teddy bear.  So when Debenhams (big UK department store) launched their Bear and Hare Christmas ad campaign (the one with Lily Allen singing "Something only we know"), well there was much laughter and mickey taking

Ours started out as just 'babe', then we started doing the 'boop boop boop' on the nose from Superbad to each other and that eventually evolved into calling each other 'Boop'. But then autocorrect struck a text from him and changed 'Boop' into 'Nipples'. We're not sure how you get nipples from boop, but it happened, and now it's a name we both use. :p

I call him "skat" which is Danish for Treasure or "pus" (with a long u sound) which I guess translates best to Sweetie which he's not very fond of normally and definitely not fond of in public

He calls me "søde" which translates to either Sweetie or Cutie

I don't really have any embarrassing nicknames for my boyfriend, but my boyfriend affectionately refers to me as "doo". I don't know.

I call him Boo or Spoopy. Spoopy, I... I don't really know haha. I think I was trying to say "spooky" and messed up. It stuck. He is now Spoopy. And occasionaly Cable (his real name is Caleb).

Oh dear :S I am a master of embarrassing names, both for my unfortunate pets and my husband.
But yes, basically, I call him "person" and "guy" endearingly, and any combination of them (such as Person McGuy, I know, I'm a total weirdo), he calls me "person" as well, and it all started with South Park and the Canadian Argument (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuQK6t2Esng  - I'm not your friend, guy)

Haha, yeah, funny how these things evolve But "person" is definitely our equivalent of "honey" or some such thing and we sometimes just randomly say it to one another to let the other know we care
