De-wing a Fashion Style?
« on: March 02, 2015, 12:05:21 PM »
What does it look like when you remove the wings from a Fashion Style? I'm thinking about taking the wings off a FS Cadance, and wondering how tricky it is, and how do you hide the hole? Or is there a way to chop off the wings and sand it down without making a hole in the back?

I'm just guessing here, but my advice would to soak her in very hot water for a while and then try slicing the wings
off with a sharp knife.
Soaking her should make her softer and easier to work with!

Oh god be careful! I've slipped before doing this and had near misses XD

I too really hate the fashion style wings. I've always thought of taking Dash's off and remaking them.. but thankfully the new Zillas coming out have cuter wings.

So it has a plug like a G3 neck, but in a v shape instead of a circle :) Once you break the seal around the body, some hot water and a few good yanks and they popped right out :) Afterwards it was pretty easy to patch the hole on the body with some apoxy, some sanding and tada!!

Awesome work, PrincessOfDarkness, and what a great help :D I have wondered this too, now I know how to proceed if I end up making a custom out of my Luna.
