Am I being scammed or is this for real?

Has anyone heard of a scam of a person contacting you on Etsy wanting items for wholesale price? What is also weird is that they are claiming to be Levena from the Nat Geo show Filthy Riches. She left a website and a phone number. But, it is just odd to me that someone from TV would be looking at my dinky Etsy shop. This is the message I received. I took off her phone and e-mail.

Hi, my name is Levena, Im interested in selling your products! I have a show on National Geographic called Filthy Riches about Mushroom hunting. I also work for The Morel Mushroom Hunting Club. Morelmushroomhunting.com Please contact me if i could get a wholesale price.. Thanks

I am thinking all the mushroom items since that is her thing if this is for real. I sent a message asking that because I am not sure if she was asking about one item or all the mushroom items. It was kind of vague. It just seems odd to me.

I Googled the information you provided about that show. It looks like there is indeed a program called that and a women named Levena on the cast list.  It just seems a bit odd and random though, considering you are selling vintage items. It is not something you have a mass quantity of to sell her pieces at wholesale.

It does seem odd   it doesn't mean it's necessarily  a scam though you wouldn't be able to offer wholesale price as PL said ... I guess if she turns out to be legit then maybe offer a small discount if she buys everything...   definitely a strange one. I guess you'll  have to wait and see what she replies with   Please let us know how it goes- I'm curious to see if its real or not

I would contact her through the show's website (or does she have Facebook or Twitter where you could ask her?) to confirm.

Wait a minute--so you aren't selling mushrooms or mushroom related products on Etsy?  If that's the case then I think a scammer googled for a name / show to put in their email to make it sound more legit.

It could very well be real-  it doesn't appear to be a phishing scam at least.

  Some people seem to think that Etsy is only for handmade things, so maybe she just thought you were making some "vintage" look a like items. Then it would make more sense if she wanted to resale them...
