Hello and welcome to my sales thread!

I have way, way too many ponies to sell! I have taken lots of pictures and have them all located in my Photobucket here: http://s1325.photobucket.com/user/ooizza/library/Updated%20Sales%20and%20Trades
 
and for each pony there are approximately 4 photos. Major flaws are noted by the price of each pony. Many of these ponies will not be suitable for picky collectors (but there are some that I think can pass inspection :lol:).
Please let me know if there are any flaws that you cannot live with so I can make sure the ponies you have selected do not have these flaws. If you do look in the album, there may be some ponies that I have not yet begun listing - feel free to inquire or make an offer!

All prices listed are in USD.

Shipping will be from Canada so it will be $6-$13 for most depending on how many ponies and whether you want tracking or not to most destinations. If you are interested in some ponies, please message me for a shipping quote. Please include your postal code or zip code if you are in Canada or the US. I will ship internationally so please let me know what country you are in so I can get an accurate quote.

TAF Sugarberry - $15 - hair is slightly dry, tail has some original curl. Small blush rubs to both sides, eyes are excellent. Smooze on ear as shown. I have not boiled her to remove it. Body is quite white and symbols are excellent with some minor scratches and age related wear.

Princess Starburst - $10 - hair is soft and silky, tinsel has some crinkles. Eyes and blush are excellent. DS eye has small speck of white outside of the eyeliner (appears to be factory). Silver coating to medallion is scratched but paint has no major rubs. Jewels have lost iridescent coating. Overall still lovely on display.

Secret Surprise Stardazzle - $6 - missing saddle. Hair is still lovely, silky and pink. Blush is unrubbed. NDS eye has some minor scratches. Two highlighter pink marks on NDS neck - usually covered by mane.

BnG Twisty Tail - $10 - hair is soft and silky, mechanism works. Symbols are excellent, eyelashes are thin and possibly rubbed on both eyes. Body has some reddish staining from hair and ears are stained yellow from hair as well. Age spot to NDS front hoof.

July Birthflower Waterlily - $10 – body is very white overall except for smooze on her right front leg. Eyes and symbols are excellent and mane still has tons of original curl, slightly less in tail.

Lady Flutter - $10 – gorgeous winger with excellent hair, eyes and symbols. A few marks that have not been removed but should come off with acetone or a more vigorous cleaning with a magic eraser.

Brightglow - $8 – TLC – major eye rub DS with a scrape above DS eye, plastic of NDS ear has been cut (I think someone was dying to see what was inside the pony), hair is excellent and is soft and silky, DS symbol has a rub, NDS is unrubbed but has a white line of paint next to the symbol that is most likely removable

Cloud Puff - $4 – regrind –free body, eye are excellent, symbols have a few small rubs, tabs that hold the wings are broken

Romper - $3 - soft and silky pink hair with original curl, has small rubs to paint on eyelashes and DS eye. Symbols are excellent. She has a few marks in the plastic of her muzzle and her neck towards the join of her head and body. The plastic is soft and appears to have pressed against something hard for a while. Displays wonderfully!

Princess Stargleamer - $10 – rub to DS eye and DS blush, symbols are very good, ink mark on NDS hind leg and NDS cheek, hair is soft, silky and appears uncut, tinsel very good, mechanism works

Lickety Split (1) - $10 – pink hair that is soft, silky and appears uncut. Her mane is a bit washed out by the picture but it is lighter than her tail. She has a dark blue mark on the inside edge of her ear. There is a small mark on one of the ice cream cones on her DS that I have not tried to remove.

Lavender Lace - $15 – hair appears uncut and is soft and clean. Symbols are excellent. She has small rubs to her NDS eye. Blush is light but doesn’t seem to be rubbed. Smells amazing! Ribbons included (not original).

Lickety Split (2) - $7 – pink hair that is soft, silky and has retained some original curl. Sadly someone drew a large M on her DS by her symbols. The mark is almost gone but winter came too quickly last year for her to finish sunfading. There is some fading to the bottoms of the ice cream cones on bottom part of her symbol :( (she was one of the first I had done and hadn’t started using acrylic paint to cover symbols yet). She displays very well from either side as the marks are only visible upon close inspection.

Starshine - $3 - beautifully white body, "rust" on symbols, mane and tail have been trimmed but are soft and silky (I may have an original replacement tail available), eyes are excellent, blush is unrubbed but appears to have spattered at the factory and is only noticeable up close - would make a lovely restore project

Princess Royal Blue - $5 – very nice pony with some crinkled tinsel but DOES NOT STAND. The bottom of the right front leg looks pushed in a bit.
Her head is still sealed and standing her right front leg in boiling water did not fix the problem. Most likely can be fixed by removing her head and pouring boiling water in her legs.

Pony Brag Arena / Private swap with squishy turdl - I was spoiled rotten!

My swap box from squishy turdl arrived this week at just the perfect time! I have been working all 3 shifts in the past few weeks and have managed to get sick for the first time in 3 years :/ All of my misery disappeared when I opened my box of goodies!!

 :hearts: sooo many packages to open! Look at the cute fakie! Her eyes are adorable and her tinsel is perfect :) The black cat is a small purse that I absolutely adore! It reminds me of my last kitty whose name is my username <3

I could not believe my eyes when I opened all of the packages! Squishy sent the entire set of Flower ponies! Woohoo! Easiest set to complete ever :D Not only that but I opened German Sweet Clover in the last package! She has been on my want list forever and ever!

I also got some of the most delicious chocolate (love Ritter!) and the best smelling teas ever! I have tried both and they are awesome - the cinnamon is my favourite at the moment :) I am also now addicted to dried Gooseberries and no readily available supply that I'm aware of :lol:

The Dollhouse / I found a Kenner Blythe

I don't post here ever and I do not collect dolls of any sort. I do spend some time in the Dollhouse just out of curiosity. Yesterday I went thrifting, hoping to find ponies, and instead found a strange but familiar doll. I had a brief look, turned her over and saw her markings. I put her back down and walked to the area where the ponies usually are. I entered 1972 Kenner Blythe into eBay and did a completed listings search.  :shocked: So I hurried back and picked her up. Sorry about the orientation of the photos, I seem to be having Photobucket issues. Here she is:

She doesn't seem to have any cracks in her body or head, just that melt mark on her face. I didn't realize at first that there were 4 eye colours so one isn't pictured. Her right knee doesn't work but the left one does. Her arms and legs have some green on them - it appears to be from the dress and I don't know if it's permanent or not. I'm too scared to clean her although I've been doing some reading about it.

She will be for sale. I don't really want to do eBay. It's been more than a year since I have sold on eBay and it's been glorious! I might need a few days to figure things out for sure, but I will probably offer her here first.

I hope you like her! I'll have to take a pic of myself with her as I've got red hair and blue eyes and think it will be funny :)

- Do you have any allergies? No allergies here!

- What are your fragrance and candy/sweeties likes and dislikes? I don’t like flowery scents, I much prefer a strange mix of musky scents and clean scents (not at all once though :lol:). Think lemon and eucalyptus for “clean” scents. I’m vegan so I would prefer to stick to dark chocolate that doesn’t contain milk ingredients.  I also love anything coconut – the scent or to eat!

- What are your hobbies? Do you have pets? Do you collect anything else? I don’t really have other hobbies besides collecting ponies except reading and running. I have two dogs at the moment. One is a three-legged lab cross named Mika and the other is a Catahoula/Whippet mix named Shelby. Shelby is the dog in my avatar <3 I don’t collect anything other than ponies. My husband and I have agreed to focus our collecting to just one or two specific things. We’d be quickly overrun with toys and vinyl records if we didn’t! I will make an exception for Lalaloopsie mini ponies because they are so adorable! And they're still ponies, right? :D

- What are your favourite colours?  My favourite colours are black and purple.

- Or anything else which you think will help your partner pick out some extras for you… I love coffee and anything dog, cat or horse related. I have a fondness for teddy bears. I don’t collect them, but I do have most of my favourites from childhood. I like stickers, but don’t really do much with them. Pony stickers are a different story :) Candles are always a good choice. I love pony accessories and will be adding a bunch to my wishlist. I also lose socks with shocking regularity so ankle socks are always appreciated! I'm also looking to start rehairing some of my bald ponies so hanks of hair would be appreciated.

- And of course can you clarify what flaws are and are not acceptable to you? I don’t think I’m a really picky collector. Minor body marks do not concern me at all. I’m fine with minor symbol and blush rubs however eye rubs really bother me for some reason. If a mark is on the NDS, I will most likely forget that it’s even there! I’d prefer no cancer but if the mark isn’t visible on display I won’t mind. Small trims are ok too, but I’d prefer there to be no haircuts. It just depends on the pony. As for wingers, I don’t mind if the wings have creases or are missing completely. I haven’t replaced any wings yet, but I don’t think it is outside my capabilites. I would prefer if symbols and eyes have not been retouched. I don't mind if a pony is rehaired, as long as it has been rehaired with its original colours.

- Would you be happy to have one or two expensive items from your list or lots of little items from your list? I’d be happy with any combination of items my partner picks out for me.

- Would you like a custom as part of your box? While I love the talent, creativity, hard work and thoughtfulness that goes into creating a custom, I do not have room for them in my collection.

When it comes to extras what are some little things you might like in your box? Would you prefer candy and little things or maybe if you rehair or do customs some baits? Hair? Cheaper ponies from your wishlist?

I would prefer accessories/cheaper ponies to receiving candy. I have zero artistic ability so customizing is not something I even attempt :lol: I do want to restore some of my collection ponies and would appreciate hair even if I haven't figured out how to use it yet! Hair colours (I haven't looked them up but here are the ponies that could use a few plugs redone to entire rehairs): Salty, pink Ember, Wildflower, Music Time, Bluebell. Magic erasers are always appreciated too.

Dear partner are you going to the fair? If so would you like to meet up and receive your box?

I won't be going to the fair but have a blast if you're going to be there!

I'm sorry, I don't have room for doubles. I'm too sentimental about many of my ponies to send them to new homes if they have been in my collection for a long time so I would prefer to receive ponies that are on my wishlist.

I love Glory to bits and Powder has always been a close runner up for me so either of those ponies would make great choices for a drawing! I'm jealous of your ability - even my stick figures look a bit off  :blink:

I don't mind factory errors at all so I'm completely fine with it!

Yes please! Even big faults can be covered up on display so I'm happy with pretty much anything.

Ever been to Disneyland or Disney World or any other Disney place thing? If so, what's your favorite ride or something funny that happened to you when you went? If you haven't gone to either what's your favorite amusement park?

I have been to Disneyland and Disney World but many years apart. The Disney World trip was with my daughter when she was 7 and it was so fun seeing her have fun. I just remember the Haunted Mansion ride as being my absolute favourite. It was fantastic from start to finish!

I went to Disneyland when I was 13 with a whole lot of family. I was the oldest and was being a bit difficult because I had to do what the little kids wanted to do. A Disney "police officer" came up to me and told me it was illegal to have such a sour face in the happiest place on earth! So, I loosened up a bit :lol:

If I found you a rather HTF pony who is on your list, and in good shape, would you be okay with her and one or two other ponies as opposed to a whole bunch of cheaper ponies?

I am fine with whatever my partner decides! I didn't put a priority on any of the ponies on my list because I'm a completist and will love them all!

Even if I have mentioned a flaw that I don't particularly like, chances are that there is at least one pony and probably many more with that flaw in my collection who are loved regardless. Don't worry, I'm easy to please!

My favourite colours are black and purple but I love reds, yellows and oranges together as well as blues, greens and yellows. Not too vague I hope  :)

No jewelry for me thanks. My ears aren't pierced at the moment and I don't really wear any jewelry besides my wedding rings.

I love pony artwork too! Canvas or paper, it doesn't matter to me, but I would assume that paper would be easier to ship. Any G1 pony would be lovely :) Glory, Baby Glory, Powder and Sunburst are some of my favourite ponies.


Dear partner do you like books? Would you like to receive a book? If so what condition is alright to you? What are some books you like that you currently do not have?

I love books but my wishlist is vague and I'm quite picky :) I usually buy my books secondhand so as long as it's readable, I'm good! Some authors I like are Jhumpa Lahiri, Alice Walker and Jacqueline Baker. Haha, I've read all of their books too but I donated my Alice Walker books and wouldn't mind re-reading them!

Partner: What are some of your favorite animals?

My favourite animals are dogs, horses and cats. I'm rather fond of pandas too.

Nope! I can sew but I choose not to. I can fix holes, buttons and make pillows but that's about it and I only do it if absolutely necessary  :P

If I made a custom for you are you ok with amateur work? I may not be the best at painting eyes or symbols, but I'd try to make them look good.

I would love any custom my partner took the time to make for me! I'd be so impressed!

I'm trying to figure out what these two might be worth given their flaws for a potential trade :) I'm terrible at judging flawed ponies versus their mint prices when they are sort of uncommon.

Sea Breeze has the weight intact at the moment and I'm sure that's where the darker brown/black staining is coming from. It's not like a cancer spot to my eyes anyway. She does have a head/body mismatch . Her hair, eyes and blush are all lovely. I think the paint on her fins has minimal rubs, possibly only a dark mark on one.

Crystalline has rubs to her symbols and eyeshadow. Her hair was pretty wild when I got her, but I have only conditioned it once and combed the snarls out. It feels nice and soft now, even though it still looks frizzy.

Pony Brag Arena / Overdue Christmas brag - pony friends are awesome!

Sooo, this is a very long overdue Christmas brag. :blush:

I found a great lot of ponies and the Show Stable on Kijiji but it was in another city and the weather at the time was too horrible to be driving so far for ponies. The seller didn’t want to ship them, but she agreed to let me arrange for pick up with a friend. That wonderful friend was LovesBabySquirmy! I still cannot believe that she was willing to go out of her way to pick them up and send them to me! I was just gobsmacked when she said “Yes”! The ponies arrived just before Christmas and I had to wait until Christmas morning to open them (evil husband).
I hadn’t saved a picture of the lot so while I knew of one pony in particular that was in the lot, I wasn’t 100% sure of the exact contents.

Hiding amongst the stable full of ponies was Baby Sweet Tooth!!! My first TAF baby! She was the reason I had wanted the lot in the first place! I had guessed from the listing picture that she would have a haircut so I was expecting it. I’m not picky though and think she looks pretty darn cute!

All of the other ponies were doubles but there are some that I’m keeping. I feel bad making Lemondrop give up her house so even though she has most of the usual LD problems, she’ll be poking her cute face out of the stable from my shelves :blush: The funny thing about some of these ponies is that they have the softest, silkiest hair! All of the Sundances that I have found prior to this have been a bit ratty in the hair department but this one is soft and lovely!

Flutter wings!!! I hadn’t even considered that’s what LBS may have been referring to! I have to figure out how to best make some tabs and then Morning Glory can have her wings back!

To add to the most wonderful pony Christmas I have had in 25 years, the lovely Strawberry Scoops sent me a gorgeous handmade Glory ornament for my tree :)

Pony Brag Arena / Pony road trip ending with set completers :)

This past weekend I went on a bit of a pony road trip. It was only three hours one way :) But, it was totally worth it! Not only did I get to meet the wonderful lovesbabysquirmy, but I got a wonderful haul of ponies too!

We had arranged a partial trade beforehand, so I was expecting to come home with nine ponies :) Here are my new beauties:

LBS knew that Glory is my favorite pony and had put aside one of the Glory's in the picture before I arrived. She just happened to have another who just happened to make it home with me :) My poor Speckles has been waiting for her twin for about 12 years! I'm just giddy with joy about these ponies! And I completed the Teeny Tiny set and the Sundazzle pony set!

I had no idea when she mentioned that she had a few other things available that there would be 3 tubs and a huge bag of ponies to dig through!! Oh I had so much fun! I love surprises and when she showed me Baby Stripes and Nectar, I almost died!

Baby Crumpet is absolutely adorable and I love the purple eyelash Princess's hairstyle! It suits her perfectly :) Look at the pink hair on Starswirl!

Aren't the freckles on Applejack and Bowtie just the cutest?! They are all so lovely and Sports Time is a set completer! Needless to say, I blew the budget and had to run to an ATM!

I couldn't drive all the way to another city and not check out some thrift stores and flea markets. I found this beautiful pink-haired girl at one of the flea markets in a bin with some very dirty ponies. Two Secret Surprise ponies in one day! And my set is complete (minus saddles, keys and trinkets of course)!

I have had this fabric idontknowwhatitis for more than 10 years. Does anyone recognize it? It's filled with a very thin layer of quilting (I think that's what it's called anyway).

I felt like going pony hunting yesterday evening and since there are a few Value Villages in my city and I decided to mix it up and go to a different one first. I am so happy I did because I came home with quite the haul!! I found 17 G1's and a change table (for the Drink 'n Wets I believe).

Mimic!!!!! I just knew that I would finally find her this year at a thrift store because my husband got her for my birthday! I prefer finding my ponies locally and the rush of finding Mimic in a thrift store will stay with me for a while!! Ummm, I guess I have two Mimics now  :blush: This one will be making her way to a new home soon, I'm just going to enjoy her for a little bit. The only flaw outside of a bit of missing jewel coating on her eyes is a teeny bit of the yellow in her tail has been cut (maybe 10 hairs) to about half length. She still has a pink streak!!!

This was such an awesome find :) I can't stop smiling! :frolic:

Streaky and Lemon Treats have nearly mint factory curls, Sea Breeze has her ribbon and Steamer has beautiful pink hair and his bandana! I have never seen a Watercolour baby sea pony before so Sealight is my first. I will have to see whether the colour changing still works or not :)

Most of the ponies are doubles except Lemon Treats, Baby North Star (finally) and Sealight. Yay!!!

Uh yeah, sorry for the long post, I'm going to make myself stop talking now  :lookround:

I was just washing the stickiness off my FF Butterscotch and was wondering if anyone had one that finished leaking plasticizer? I assume they will end up being as hard as rocks like some of my TEs. I have only ever found two FF Butterscotches and both of them were leaking plasticizer but I have never seen any for sale that were described as having a hard body.

I took my dogs for a walk today and while I was gone, my husband made a video of my collection :shocked: He made the video as a sort of "support video" for other husbands of pony crazy wives  :)

He thinks I should brag about my ponies and show them off, but I'm always a bit reluctant to post these sorts of things online. He is so wonderful and sweet and always encourages me to find ponies.

Introductions / Hello!

Hello everyone!

I'm a 34 year old big kid :) I live in Alberta, Canada and I have been a pony collector for almost 13 years now. I take occassional breaks from actively searching for ponies which my bank account thanks me for :)

I collect only G1s. They were what I had when I was little, and I tried collecting G3s when they first came out but it just wasn't the same for me. I like to find my ponies locally which really limits how many I can find and it also means that I have quite a few duplicates in my herd :lol: I guess I just like the thrill of the chase and putting the work in to clean up filthy ponies and making them beautiful again. As I type this, I can see the 2 Blossoms, 2 Cotton Candys and 1 Peachy who are currently in the toilet paper hair salon!

I don't have any of my original ponies (my first ever was Glory) but I have a wonderful friend who I've known since kindergarten who gave me all of her original ponies (Moondancer, 4-Speed, Tootsie, Baby Dangles, and BBE Ribbon). I remember hauling all of mine to her house to play with her so they are my most special ponies because I did play with them when I was little. I even remember how we always made poor Tootsie be Lucky because neither of us had him!!

The pony that reintroduced me to MLPs was Tickle. I found her in a Value Village when my daughter was very young. Even though I didn't have Tickle when I was small, it reminded me of how much I loved ponies and the rest is history. I have around 300 ponies now  :shocked: I don't have any particularly rare ponies, but I do have 8 MOC ponies because my husband is very understanding and awesome! I even found a SS Magic Star at Value Village taped inside her bubble with the card, ribbon, booklet and sticker :)
