Wanted! / ISO Princess Starburst's accessories
« on: May 01, 2022, 08:15:01 PM »
Desperately ISO Starburst's wand and pick to purchase or trade. Will buy the whole set if need be. I had the wand at one time, but vanished sometime during the past 5 years, or seriously faded to the shade of Moondust's pink wand . Pick, I may have it, but not sure. Too close in color to other princess picks for me to come to a definite conclusion

thank you so much for your time and consideration

Trader & Shipping Support / $400 Cut-off for First Class Shipping
« on: February 24, 2018, 10:25:44 AM »
I have a package I need to send overseas.  Because it has a value of over $400, I believe I have to ship it Priority Mail which practically doubles the cost of shipping ($23 to $46).

I have read multiple times that never underestimate the value of a package because if it was to get lost, you could only claim up to stated value.  My question is that insurance only good while the package is still stateside?  Once it heads overseas, is the USPS still responsible  fir package if it gets lost?

For Sale - For Auction / 35th Anniversary Ponies SOLD
« on: January 30, 2018, 06:57:10 PM »
I have several complete sets of 35th Anniversary ponies for sale; $68 for US based paypal and $70 for International based paypal.  Price difference is because of total fees charged by PayPal (2.9% versus 4.5%).  Domestic shipping, on average, is going to cost anywhere from $8.50-$17.50. International is $55 for many countries, sent Priority Mail.  If interested please contact me either on this post or through a PM.

Thanks

MLP Nirvana / Price Check: Argentina Powder
« on: January 28, 2018, 07:34:24 AM »
Seller and I are clueless as to what is a fair asking price for this little girl here.  I went to eBay's sold items for mlp Argentina ponies and then checked my Nirvana Guide to determine rarity, but still unsure.  I've included pictures that were sent to me so you can see her condition. Biggest issues are the hair has been cut and ends are dried and frizzy.  Body appears to have yellowed some with patches of discoloration.  Seller thinks she can remove black marks on NDS.  Plus side, her symbols and eyes seem to be in very good condition.  Any input would be appreciated.

If you pay for an item using PayPals Friend's and Family option, and item gets lost in the mail, can you make an insurance claim without an actual invoice if insurance was put on package?

I was reading through USPS claims process regarding what you can do when you don't have a bill of sales/invoice/receipt.  There was mention of getting the expert opinion of a qualified person, or something like that, but I don't think there are certified/licensed mlp appraisers.  Maybe I'm wrong.

Proof of Value
Either the mailer or the addressee must submit acceptable proof to establish the cost or value of the article at the time it was mailed. Proof of value should be submitted electronically or attached to the claim form under 1.5; otherwise, the claim cannot be processed. Other proof may be requested to help determine an accurate value. Examples are:

a. A sales receipt, paid invoice or bill of sale, or statement of value from a reputable dealer.

b. Paid repair bills; if the claim is for partial damage, estimates of repair costs or appraisals from a reputable dealer. Repair costs may not exceed the original purchase price.

c. Receipt or invoice for the costs incurred to buy a surety bond required to reissue a lost item.

d. Receipt or invoice of costs incurred for the reconstruction of nonnegotiable documents.

e. A copy of a credit card statement or other documentation indicating the amount paid.

f. For Internet transactions conducted through a Web-based payment network that offers payment services through a stored value account, provide a computer printout of the online transaction identifying the purchaser and seller, price paid, date of transaction, description of item purchased, and assurance that the transaction status is completed. The printout must clearly identify the Web-based payment network provider through which the Internet transaction was conducted.

I realize you should always use goods and services for protection of both parties and that it is against PayPals policies to do what I am discussing.  Except for a couple of times with small ticket items (less than $20 purchase price), I have always paid through goods and services and have even covered the fees at times.

There is only one time that an item did not make it to me but that was through eBay and their GSP program (?).  I had other items take up to 6 weeks to land on my doorsteps, but stuff has always arrived.

Thanks for any input

i have been looking for Katie's kitty for a while, have offered money and other items for trade with no luck.  So here I am again in an attempt to trade; taking advantage of the hype over the 35th Anniversary Ponies   I managed to track down two sets and am hoping someone is up for trading their Katie kitty for one of the sets.

Thanks

Pony Corral / Finished Display for Custom mlp Family
« on: December 31, 2017, 07:09:50 PM »
Ok, I am not sure if I am done, done; with my display that is.  I feel like it is missing something.  Maybe my use of a monochromatic palate is throwing me off.  I bought this family of ponies as a Christmas present to myself.  I must have been really good this year to get such lovelies.  Even before the paint was dried, I was working on display ideas. If you look closely, you can see the ponies have a visitor in the background.  With regards to the ponies' symbols, I thought he would be a neat addition to the display

Updated wantlist:

As much as I try, I cannot get away from wanting to add to my pony collection.  So now I find myself actively looking, again, for a couple harder to find baby ponies that were released in the UK

Surprise Newborn Bouncy (yellow) and Snoozy (green)

Plus really wanting to find a baity SS Angel to deflock and rehair.  A terrible, torturous project; but so worth it when all is said and done

Thank you

I just purchased some bubble mailers for the eventual sale of my collection.  Having a hard time with the whole parting thing  :P  Anyway, do others wrap their ponies in addition bubblewrap before placing it in the padded mailer?  My primary concern is the horn of unicorns getting bent en route.

Thank you

Trader & Shipping Support / bubble mailer versus box for loose ponies
« on: October 10, 2017, 08:09:23 AM »
Trying to get myself prepared to sell a large portion of my collection.  I'm a hoarder so may take a little longer.  Plus I want to at least make the ponies appear presentable.  Then there is the photoshoot, have to figure out a background :P   But seriously, is there a price point from when you mail a loose pony in a bubble mailer versus a box?  Is there that much of a difference in shipping price or does it come down to what is readily available and/or inexpensive?  I assume it is cheaper to buy bubble mailers over small boxes for shipping.  Thank you for any wisdom you can share

Pony Corral / Need pointers on organizing and selling ponies
« on: September 16, 2017, 11:43:07 AM »
Right now I am only in the mental stages of selling off a large part of my g1 collection.  In other words, I have mentally prepared my hoarding mentality that many of the ponies in my collection should really be re-homed.  I have a few hundreds ponies and accessories in bins that I need to go through.  The condition and level of cleaning each pony needs varies from a light brushing to "What mlp is that, I can not quite make it out?  Are you sure that's a mlp?"  Combs, brushes, and ribbons have not been identified and probably not worth the effort on my part to do so.  I have witnessed on fb the struggle the accessory experts have, and frankly, I found it quite intimidating

So imagine yourself surrounded by absolute g1 pony chaos; what would be your order of steps to organize for sales?

Any help appreciated.  Thank you

Thanks!!

Trader & Shipping Support / No response from eBay seller nepalgal1
« on: August 31, 2017, 03:19:59 PM »
I won a couple of auctions Monday evening from eBay seller nepalgal1 who is selling off her mlp collection.  I have sent a request twice now for an invoice to reflect the new shipping charges and haven't heard so much as a peep from her.  Her feedback has been positive (100%).  Has anyone else won lots from her that ended 8/28 and having trouble getting in contact.  Not sure what else I can do; I do not want my items cancelled.  Two things I am hoping here.  First-either she is a member here or someone knows her who can get in contact with her on my behalf.  Two, and maybe this is crossing the line, IDK; if someone has recently purchased from her through PayPal, they will have her home e-mail.  If they can just let her know that I have asked for a invoice and haven't heard anything.  Maybe she is having trouble with her eBay messages and is not getting them.  Thanks
