I managed to find Gusty, Surprise and Sparkler today in NJ. Still no Heart Throb.
Can you tell me where in NJ? i am in NJ and haven't seen any at my local targets. but i have been hesitant to go out too often.

I found ST Applejack today in NJ. I’m so excited because my Target hasn’t gotten the send set of rainbows yet so I figured they wouldn’t have it.

I found 3 of 4 Earth ponies at Target today in NJ. NoBubbles. It’s interesting because they never got wave 3 but got wave 4. Happy hunting.

I live on the east coast and there have been no sign of the Rainbow Ponies or the characters from the pilot episodes at Target in this area... Are there any other east coasters that have seen them? I checked with two cities and no luck. 
I’m from New Jersey and have found the rainbow ponies. I haven’t found Wave 3 yet.

So my local Target finally, finally put the retro ponies out again. There still isn't a retro endshelf. They are on a random isle with a lot of other random things including all the blindbag stuff. The labels aren't correct either so I wonder if it's just a holding place for right now. But I saw all 6 collector ponies and all 6 rainbow ponies. No uni/pegs yet. All the boxes were also the old ones, english only, no extended window. But I'm not surprised since these have been sitting in the back for months. But I'm just glad they are out so people can see them and buy them.
If anyone here wants some I'm willing to get them for $12 (tax and fees)each +shipping. Just pm me.
One of my local Targets just put up the retro toys endcap this weekend, months after all the others in the area. I hope that means they will be carrying the ponies since it’s the closest store to me but I’ve never seen them there yet.

Let's see so far for 2 sets of retro ponies we've seen
Original box style-comb placed above pony sticker advertising poster and comb
Original 6 box version 2-comb placed next to pony extended plastic window, no sticker advertising comb or poster but still included.
Original 6 box version 3-Bilingual box featuring French and English comb placed beside pony
Rainbow pony box style 1- Bilingual English and French
Rainbow pony box style 2 English only
I haven't seen a unicorn pesagus box yet in person.
So that's at least 5 different box styles we've seen so far, 
I'm hoping to find the rest of the Rainbows and the unicorns Pegasus soon.

Yeah, it seems like there are definitely more bilingual-boxed Rainbows on the shelves around here than English-only. Which is fine with me, since I prefer them, but it is sort of surprising that they blew through the first "batch" that quickly.
I haven't seen bilingual boxes for the CPs yet, but there has been a small change to the latest packaging. The comb is on the right now, and the ribbon and poster are no longer advertised (but they're still present inside the box).

(IDK why Minty is the shelf-warmer at my Target, but the toy scalpers in my area don't seem to care for green ponies. They're always the last to go.)
Is it me or are those Minty’s different colors?

Going to post this observation over in this thread also.
There appears to be some variation in how much retro MLP some Targets are getting. Some of the Targets I have visited had shelf space for all three (Pretty Parlor, Rainbows and the MLP assortment tag) and these were on the retro end cap facing the games. This was consistent for all Targets that had their toy aisles all in a row going the same direction. A few of the Targets I went to had toy aisles that went multiple directions. At those Targets there was only ONE tag for retro MLP, the "MLP assortment" tag. These were located in a designated space (along with Lite - Brite, carebears etc. ) that was part of a much larger shelf of other products.
And then you have my own local Target that hasn’t had a retro end cap for months and when I mentioned it to an employee they had no idea what I was talking about. When I asked them to look in the back for the uni/peg the employee noticed they hadn’t sold any ponies since “April or May”. Of course they hadn’t, they haven’t put out any ponies since then! No retro end cap, no retro ponies, even though they apparently have some in back. It’s very frustrating to live just 3 minutes away from a Target and have it be the one outlier that isn’t doing a retro end cap.
My local Target doesn’t have a retro end cap either. I’ve never seen a pony there but according to brick seeker they are always “in stock”which means they are sitting somewhere in 5e the back for months.
