So. How many people actively seek out accessories?

I am not counting G1 in this because there is some inherent antiquity there.

However, with G2 on, how many people do you believe really want the accessories and playsets versus only the figures? Do you think that value and the space to keep playsets run hand-in-hand?

How do you feel about collecting playsets versus smaller accessories like crowns, ribbons, capes and other wearable items?

Yes! I do. I nearly have the entire G2 collection loose and complete with all accessories

I have recently fallen down the accessories-collecting rabbit hole. I am definitely up for collecting accessories to go with the handful of G2 and 3 ponies that I have, especially as they tend to be less expensive than G1 accessories. I love the combs in G2 because the ponies can wear them round their necks like jewellery. I'm also hoping to find Princess Twinkle Star's clip-on wings one day.

Oh, and I prefer accessories to playsets as they take up less space!

For G2, absolutely bring on the accessories and play sets. For G3 and G4, I’ve been buying what I want as it was released in stores, so I’m not on the hunt anymore, but if I didn’t already have them I’d be buying them.

I actively seek out G3 accessories! But I'm on a buying moratorium, so I can't do anything about it even when I do find things I want... Doesn't keep me from looking though!

I seek out some accessories for my favourite ponies. Or some ponywear, but definitely not everything.

If I find them in the wild, I pick them up. Otherwise, the only ones I collect are the G1 accessories.

I kind of feel as though the quality of the accessories deteriorated steadily after G1.  I don't remember seeing any outfits made from actual fabric after G1, unless you count the veil on the G2 Bride or the fuzzy rug that came with Lightheart's playset.  The G2s had decent accessories, admittedly--those fences and rainbows were pretty solid plastic, and I really liked some of the furniture, like MM Ivy's cabinet.  But you never saw the same kind of variety with the combs or ribbons after G1

It depends on what the accessory is - if it's something cool like the G2 clip-on wings, or Miss Painter's adorable paints and easel, or Port-o-bella's puffy hat, then yeah sure I'll collect them! Otherwise I won't go out of my way to get them but will keep them if I end up with them.

Not really.  It's fun if a pony comes with them, but I'm not likely to buy them on their own unless the seller has a bunch of them at a good price.  It would be nice to have Bubbles brush and ribbon.  But I don't think the shipping cost would be worth it.

I'm not actively looking for accessories, but I really can't leave them when I see them. So I end up with them, I suppose I can say I collect accessories too.

For me accessories are down to the play set and the pony, I dont need every comb, brush/ ribbon in existence, but I do like the play set parts and hair clips.  Also depends on what came with the pony itself.
