Somebody suggested that the bubbles are supposed to be like bubble wrap, because she works with shipping/mail

I would have to assume it represents being "bubbly" (lively, cheerful) since she was originally named Ditzy Doo; But if her association with being a mail carrier is more canon than I realize, then Toralei's suggestion could be a good one, too. If there was an episode of Pony with a mail bag, I'd love to know which one it was so I can re-watch it ^^

I remember in the Cutie Pox when Twilight opened her book, there were examples of different ponies with cutie marks being forced to act out their talents. One of the ponies had a bubbles cutie mark like Pony, and she was snorkling (or scuba diving). So that's what I think

I'm confused about the background pony that's pink and has pink and purple dolphins for a cutie mark. Does that mean she likes to work with sea life? Or maybe she has special powers and she can turn into a dolphin!

I am rather curious as to what Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara have as talents, exactly. Obviously their names and Cutie Marks are references to their "high society"-ness, but surely they have to have an actual talent rather than just "is rich and rude."

I think Pony's bubbles were a nod to G1 Bubbles, particularly because she was originally a background pony of no significance. Now that she's taken over as a fan-favourite, connecting her mark to an actual talent might be a bit of a stretch.

Since she grew up surrounded by posh stuff, maybe Diamond Tiara is really good at appraising jewelery? "THIS is an antique sapphire necklace. Only seven were made in this design. THAT is mass produced costume jewelery. Can't YOU tell?"
Silver Spoon....the obvious answer would be cooking but maybe it's silver spoon= place setting= organizing fancy dinner parties? Like Pinky except with more kinds of forks and less pin-the-tail?

I don't think the cutie marks are always their professions. I think sometimes their cutie marks reflect their hobbies instead. Maybe Diamond Tiara just likes to dress up in fancy outfits and Silver Spoon likes to attend fancy dinner parties. I think cutie marks have more to do with realizing what you truly love more than anything. That and I think sometimes cutie marks are more symbolic than literal. Maybe the one with the dolphins just likes to swim like a dolphin?
