the new belle of my herd - Pina Colada (+3 pictures)

a few days ago i was at Value Village again and i got an amazing haul (brag to be posted soon) - some G3s and a bunch of Ponyvilles. upon closer inspection, however, there was someone in a bag of G3s that most certainly didn't belong!

it was a G1! i couldn't believe it. not even a week ago i found one used, and then to find another! i was very surprised since in all the years i spent collecting i had never seen a G1 at Value Village or the flea market.

i did some research when i got home and it turned out my new girl is Pina Colada. she is GORGEOUS. i instantly fell in love with her when i saw her. she is the nicest G1 i ever saw, i love her bright vibrant colours.

she was a bit of a mess when i found her:

but after a visit to the pony spa, she looked like this (picture with flash)

she is not perfect. she has a mark on her side, and some brown spotting on her head. her hair is frizzy. i love her, and she now sits on my bedside table.

please show me pictures of your Pina Coladas, i'd love to see them

Aww congratulations! Nothing like finding a gorgeous G1!

I'm crazy about Pina! I have amassed a small army of her. I don't know how it happened but I just randomly fell in love with her. I don't have any photos of any of mine though...I will have to take some and come back! =)

You don't know how much do I envy you all guys...

I've been trying to get Pina Colada for some time now, and each time she pops up on auction, she always manages to evade me somehow... I guess I must be experiencing some kind of Pina Colada curse.

Though I'm not loosing hope just yet. Some day, Pina Colada... some day you shall be mine. *evil laugh*

Major congrats! Pina Colada is one of the most beautiful and unique ponies
I found mine at a thrift store as well! Oh, it seems I never too a picture of her :S bummer.

But hey, did you know that there is a colour difference between the bodies of Euro and US Pina Colada?
The Euro one is more red and the US is more purple ^^

I found one at a thrift store maybe 2 years ago.
:3 I'd take pictures, but the room she's residing in is being renovated, so I can't get to her easily... I ended up rehairing her (her hair was chopped bad), so she has extra long hair.

I never imagined I would like her so much, since I do not like the color pink. ... ;3 But she stole my heart, and she is one of my favorites in my selected small herd.
