G4 "Fakie" Plush

A friend of a friend sent me an email about this little lady...they are actually listed by the dozen now in a few places including Amazon and ebay. They are made to a "fan made" design so are not official HB merch - I got to wondering are we getting "plush fakies" now?

I think there are a few others like this on ebay--I've seen plushies of Crackle, Spike and Time Turner/Doctor Whooves.  I guess they are fakies, hehe.  Has anyone bought any of these?  I've always been a little afraid of knockoff plushies because I read somewhere once that they can be filled with unsafe materials

I suspect they all come from the same source...as the same sellers have all the ones you have mentioned as well.

Ugh, good point! I was thinking of maybe buying one but I don't think I will now. Most of these knockoffs are made in China I think, and they don't have as indepth safety codes as we do... I don't want to take the chance!

These were on ebay before the 6" ones hit stores.

I noticed though that a member here just posted a brag here that included a Rainbow Dash plush that looks an awful lot like this one here..

Which is funny, 'cause there have been plenty of issues with American-made plushies hitting shelves and being full of needles. Happened with a few different Pokémon plush. Needles kept breaking, ended up in the plush and poked many a small child. 

I'd be interested to hear more about these. I'm not a big fan of that RD's head, as it seems ... smooshed. However, that Crackle plush is all sorts of up my alley!

I am fairly certain they are boot-leg fakies! I just find it so funny that fakie makers have cottoned on to the popularity before Hasbro lol!

Do you have a picture of the Fluttershy by any chance?

I wouldn't really call them fakies myself lol. But this is coming from someone who has known 'bootleg' Pokedolls in her collection. They're cute! Just not hasbro made. What are they going for?
