Thanks for the comparison! Yeah, I like the pastel colours better, and the gloves really bring the outfit together! Maybe they were having trouble getting them to look good, gloves can be tricky. I could see them not wanting to faff about with fiddly little fabric gloves. But it would've been nice if they'd come up with *something* else to put on her arms, as it is they look a bit bare compared to the rest of her.

I read somewhere she was made-to-order which might explain the higher cost?

The doll, herself, is stunning. I also love her shoes! But that dress is.... Somethin' else. It screams "candy shop window" or "wrapping paper" to me, not really Victorian stained glass. The pinks are far too vibrant. Allso I can tell what that fabric feels like just from that picture and I hate it.

I thought about getting her to put different clothes on her, but for $90 that's just not going to happen. Especially with the missing gloves. I understand gloves can be hard to do, but it's a $90 collector's doll? Hell they could've even gone the cheap G1 route of the moulded on elbow gloves, at the very least. The cost of these dolls seems to increase with every release, but the quality honestly seems to go down. 🙃 However that is nice if they're finally doing made-to-order so these dolls don't completely sell out in less than a day, but that's still quite the steep price hike. Not to mention the new membership they just rolled out, as well.

So Chucky & Bride will be the next addition to the Alumni series.

I won't be getting them but think it's super cool for Child's Play/Chucky fans. Hopefully those clothes are nicer quality than they look though.

I'd really love to see them do the Evil Dead at some point! Since their hands can pop off, including Ash's swappable hand extensions would be really easy... >.>

Oh cool! I think Tiffany's been rumoured for a while but I didn't know it'd be a two-pack, that's nice. Her dress does look pretty poor quality though

They don't interest me personally but it's nice for fans, I'm surprised it took them this long to do! Seems like an obvious crossover haha.

Mattel really botched up this release They've NEVER released dolls on a Monday before, and usually they give at least 24hrs' notice before the drop! What the heck happened?! I get that May 1st is an important date to the series (I guess?) but why not just do the full reveal then and release them on Friday as usual? Looks like a lot of people missed out because of this

I'm not a fan of the Rochelle ... She REALLY doesn't click for me, is it the maxi-dress? I just feel like Mattel really got into having a ton of plastic stuff added to dolls from about the Exchange students lines onwards, and it was REALLY offputting, especially in the Boo York line (more excusable for the Great Scarrier Reef for bodies for the seaghouls but this is more pointing at the accessories).

I don't know, it feels like they're making the ghouls more like Buckaroo with the plastic add-ons rather than letting the clothes shine or keeping the accessories small and spare.

G3 Abbey is up on Smyths and you better BELIEVE I'm keeping an eye on when my closest has her in stock, I can't WAIT To see her in person!!

(Clawd is there too but I'm here for best frosty ghoul!)

Haunt Couture Midnight Runway Cleo is going up for sale on Mattel Creations on 16 June at 9 am PT, it says she's available 24 hrs "before anyone else" if you're in the Fang Club; I assume this means 24 hrs before 16/06 but the wording was kind of vague x) Haven't looked into it more than that cause I can't afford her atm and don't want to tempt myself, haha.

UK peeps - Smyths Toys has Abbey and Clawd in stock! Abbey is sooo pretty, I love her face. And I like Clawd a lot more than I was anticipating, I just wish they'd made his hair a little shorter, it looks good but it covers his ears a bit too much xD But I have a feeling I'll be getting him eventually.
