Why was g2 so much smaller?

G2's came out at a time when we only got three broadcast channels and had just sold 80% of our stuff in order to move. We were in a tiny, scary, moldy house. (It was condemned after we finished renting) I'd like to learn more about g2. Was there a show? I know it ran longer in France than the U.S. as far as pony releases. Where's the merchandise? Anyone want to share some pictures?

Thank you! I'm drooling over the money tin.    I have quite a few g2's now so I started wondering. Are your clear ones a custom mold? I finally have hip holly on her way. Yours are just soo pretty. I found I like the size of g2's better than g3's. I can fit more on the shelf.
