Ok so I am a collector of ponies...as I know many of you are too.  So here is the deal. I had to put up a lot of my pony collection for sale as I am moving and also trying to make ends meet .....so I did my normal sorting. One shelf for keep and one shelf for maybe. Waited a day went through the maybe....soon I had a few ponies that I wanted to sell.....

Well I regret it:( I was fond of the pony at the time but not fully in love with her. Now that I keep seeing pictures of her...I want her back...I had a baby that went with her too....does that happen to you?

I am working on organizing my collection. I start going through images so I can remember what a pony that I am searching for looks like. Since I do not have internet I am taking pictures of my collection and then snagging pictures of ponies that I am wanting to put in a book that I can carry with me ....well I just realized I sold a Birth FLower Pony .....I only want 2 of the Birth flower Ponies... July and September. (mine and husband's birthday) I was looking up pictures and sure enough...I sold July

Please tell me I am not alone in this

your not, i sold a dancing butterflies a while ago now and always regretted it.

I have replaced her since but the one I sold had a factory smudge on her shoulder (I know it does not increase her value or anything) but I like that it made her different and miss her in my collection to this day.

Yes, sadly. I too sold ponies when times were rough. My gorgeous Satin & Tux, my MIB Bridal pony (that sat next to my cake at our wedding reception), my ceramic Skyflyer and Glory....

You're not alone. Before I got in to collecting ponies I found a buch of my childhood ones in the garage. I threw away Starshine because I thought she had pony cancer. I also gave two ponies away to a little girl. I want to replace them someday. I know it was my decision at the time to get rid of them, but sometimes I wish I would have kept them.

Oh I understand totally!

My biggest regret was selling my wonderful magenta satin n lace and Sosoft version....2 years later, thanks to Glacia alerting me to eBay auctions in the US, I now have a near mint magenta SnL that's better than my old one anyway! still looking for Sosoft version but I'm sure I will find one soon.

And you will find all your ponies again too!

That's the fun of collecting the hope to find your ponies...just a bummer from time to time as you are like...I just had you..sniff

yes I wish I would of saved me an extra set of beach belle and Caribbean delight when I was buying and selling them at cost on board I should of made sure to spoil myself and keep an extra set MIB
I am frustrated now that I didn't do this because I wish I would of because I look at them like I look at g1
those 2 girls are the apple of my eye of the g3 and to know I had been buying them and could of saved an extra to stare at MIB and be able to say look at that MIB extra you own, it is worth lots and you got it from the store at cost
sigh just having the feeling of buying and keeping and owning it like it came from store where one got it is got to be the best feeling in the world if it ends up being a very very hard to find exclusive that you are able to get

Ahhh yes! I found this picture on my laptop, these Ponies were mine for about 7 years ago... I really wish I hadn't sold my G1's (I sold all my Ponies)

yeah, I sold Daddy Sweet Celebrations, and bought him back from somewhere else, and I sold Daddy Apple Delight... but I haven't bought him back .. yet.  So yes, I understand.

*hugs* I've been through many rounds of selling off my valuable ponies to make ends meet and when I'm doing well again, I buy them back. My ponies have helped me to pay my rent over and over. Times are tough and you do what you have to do, but I miss quite a few of the ponies I had to sell. Of course I can find the pony again, but it won't be THAT pony, the one that was mine and was special. I've got a lot of regrets about my ponies... Some of the biggest were how I treated my ponies when I was younger and didn't know any better!

I wish I'd paid attention and known they'd existed because I had a Menards just up the road from where I lived then! I kick myself every day... They are gorgeous and I would love to own a pair, but I don't spend that much on ponies

I keep peeking at thrifts stores now and again to see if I can find them...I know they wont be the ones. I didn't play rough with my ponies as a kid but I did play with them a lot. My So soft Magic star has the dirties flocking because I love that pony soooo much. Its rubbed in so many places but I still love her. Many of my ponies look so played with:)
